    This sounds interesting... I may have to try it (unless you get through it & say it's awful).

    I just finished The Social Animal, a fairly technical book about human behaviors. Now I'm jumping into the new Harlan Coben, Six Years.

    its really fascinating and disturbing at the same time old son im looking at every thing in a different light although i realise i/we cant do anything to change things ......hope you injoy it old son :D

    Just finished Gone Girl by Gillian-something. (Sorry-on my phone and cant look it up.)

    It held my attention, for sure, but I was a little annoyed when it was over. It ended in a strange place.

    Wasn't the ending awful? I hated it. You should check out The Dinner by Herman Koch. Kind of odd, but good.

    the ending of gone girl made me angry.. however I know there are crazy bitches out there totally capable of what amy did so I was okay with it. and yeah the book ending in a weird place but...

    ...amy got what she wanted. and that was the whole point i thought. she felt trapped in missouri and so she set out to trap nick. she basically terrorised him with her absence and then when she could see it was to her advantage she terrorised him with her presence. she played out the ultimate gotcha!

    Just got done reading David Balducci's "The Innocent". Was okay.
    A quick read, action packed....but terrible dialog and average writing. Would def make a bad Hollywood action movie.
    I may read the next one....

    Anyone else hate it when a friend recommends a book and then BRINGS THE BOOK for you? You can't refuse it, and you have to read it quickly because they're going to be asking you if you liked it soon and you can't NOT read it.

    It's nice and all, but it really fucks up my personal book-reading queue...hahahaha...

    Great book. I found the book to be slightly scary/hopeful in its descriptions at how the world can erase our presence ...

    I was annoyed by the ending. Have you read Sharp Objects (also Gillian Flynn)? It's one of the fastest and creepiest books I've ever read.

    Just about to finish the trilogy by Ken Bruen and Jason Starr tonight. Three good quick reads if you like Hard Boiled Crime stories. I find it funny as Ken Bruen inserts himself in a small bit part in the third book. The best part of the whole series is how sometimes people believe they are more than they are, and sometimes it is true, but because of their own doing, but because of out of proportion stories they get attached to. Each character sees how each other are full of hot air but that doesn't stop them from inflating their own egos in their own minds. Meanwhile the regular characters are either frustrated beyond belief or shaking their heads laughing. This really becomes more prominent during the 3rd book, amazing what drugs can do to one's mind!

    Starting Ghostman by Roger Hobbs, read decent reviews on Amazon.com so I'm hoping it's a good read. Got it pretty cheap through the marketplace so I figured why not!
