Im not sure if this post already exists and I apologize for being unoriginal but what is the holiest of all PJ Posters? What is considered the rarest and most sought after PJ poster to date?

Thanks All-

for rarity, there were only 25 of the foil Edmonton 2011, all S/N by artist, it would be hard to imagine a shorter run than that, but of course I could be wrong

EMEK Santa Barbara 06...they were never supposed to go on sale, but some slipped through the cracks before the band took them off the merch booths..

    I think.

Also the "Missing link" poster from the 98 or 03 tour...

    2012 - MIA Festival 9/2

It really depends on who you ask or what you decide are the parameters... The ones listed above foot the bill as do some of the Hawaii prints and the PJ20 poster. The only "rare" poster I have is for the 2nd show I ever went to, East Lansing MI in 1998 in my hometown. Only 350 printed and I guess they were all sold at the show, I feel lucky that I was able to roll by the show early to scoop up the poster at the outside merchandise stand and put the poster in the trunk of my car. I am still trying to hunt down a 2006 Reaper from DC as I was at that show and it sold as fast as hell as well.

PS I think the market has changed as well, in 1998 the market for getting a poster wasn't what it is today. Also with Twitter, ebay, message boards, etc the "scarcity" of a poster will be well known a lot faster.

None were sold at the merch booth, I was about 5th in line, was told about that poster in LA, but there was just the ames :? was told they were not selling them, were not approved for sale, so I brought it and hung that on my wall instead .

Yeah id add the Chicago 2000 poster too.

but it depends on why the question was posed?

    was it desirability or rarity?

as i think these are very very different. The Santa Barbara that has been talked about already appears to be an in demand print because firstly its Emek and there were not many made, but its sure as hell not one of the finer looking prints imo. In fact I prefer the one they used at the show instead and that can be bought very easily for $50

I never understood the appeal behind the 3 Missing Link '00 posters. These posters were sold 9 months after the shows took place, and weren't even created for or sold at the venues. These are an after-thought IMO.

The Atlanta 200 Missing Link is officially my holy grail. This was my first PJ concert and I get stuck with an impossible to get "Missing Link". My goal to have the poster for every concert I ever attend was foiled from the beginning!!!!!!!

Recently acquired what I think is the finest PJ poster ... while there are 450 of them, it's considered a grail by many ...

To my knowledge, only 50 of these were made and for a Bay Area PJ fan, this is a must if you can find it ...

Both of these are heading to the framer soon.

Off topic but I stumbled upon him on expressobeans looking up some of the posters you've all mentioned. Have you guys heard of Aaron Horkey? Holy fuck, he's awesome. Does a lot of posters for Baroness (who I saw open for Mastodon, I believe). Would love for him to make a PJ print!

Also, if you've been on these boards for years and following posters, I'm sure you find it quite different around here since '08. Who would have thought that there would ever be a "posters" tab in merch much less dozens of them staying up for years...? The recession has certainly made us more selective.

While not the best poster of all-time, I think Chicago 2000 is a great design. It is better than just about all of the 2000 posters and most post-2003 posters. To me it fits creatively with the 1998 series.

    Same here.

The very, very sad part of my story is that I HAD this poster. My dad took me to my first PJ show when I was 15, and he bought me both the Yield North American poster and the show poster. Still have the N.A. poster, BUT THE SHOW POSTER is MIA. I was sure that it was at my parents, and while my husband and I were living in an apartment, I left a lot of my belongings at my parents. This past summer I went through EVERYTHING and could not find it anywhere. I am still holding out hope that there is a place that I did not search...

It is in no way in good condition...it has pinholes and is probably bent at the edges as I had no idea when I was a teen how much it would mean to me now. Even so, I will be the happiest girl if I ever find it. If not, it seems I will have to shell out a pretty penny to replace it.
