But it's so bold and ruthless for any one to say her daughter is a whore. That is just uncouth and crass.
Have you never met a teenager that was unmarried with a child? At least respect the Palin's as Humans.

I can't do politics. too many turkeys... not enough buck shot.

I've met plenty of single mothers. But none who use their baby to make millions while attacking other single others a lazy moochers.

I find your nightmares about Obama to be absurd. He's been president for fours years and the Gestapo hasn't kicked in your door and taken your guns yet. But the stock market is doing well and unemployment stopped its free fall. What happens in these nightmares you have? :fp:

It is definitely unnecessary to call someone who had a baby young and out of wedlock a whore. Or for doing whatever it is she does with her kid. Those decisions are hers to make, and as far as I know, she's not abusing him.
However, there is a LOT of hypocrisy on Palin's part that is highlighted because of that situation, and I think that's why people jump all over it.

  • You don't think hauling your baby out to grow up under a microscope, teach it to say "shut up, faggot" and post the video on the Internet (while you giggle in the background), and exploit it at every chance in abuse?

Well, lets see what Octomon's and Jon and Kate's kids have to say once their tell-all books come out.

No, it's not abuse. They're not decisions I would make, but it's not abuse either, and the law agrees. Just because I don't agree with other parents' parenting decisions doesn't make those decisions abusive. Also, I think that she loves her kid, and that the media does a fine job of making her look like a much worse mother than she really is.

I'm not sure "abuse" is quite the right word here (although I get it) but hauling the kids out in public as a political move- I would say that is at least exploitative and twisted- no that SP is the first to do that, of course.

Of course not... And honestly, I don't think there is anything wrong with having your kids come along to political events with you. It's certainly not anything any of us are used to, but to me it just seems like an unusual but not harmful experience for children. It probably affords them some interesting insights and learning opportunities. Also, to assume that politicians just "haul them out in public as a political move", as though they don't even love them, but simply see them as political tools is really unfair and inaccurate. Yes, their family is part of of their political careers. So what? A lot of families participate in their parents'/spouses' careers, because their careers are a huge part of their life. I do not see the harm in most cases. It's a different life, but I do not think that means it's a harmful one. Do people think that Obama's children are being abused?? I've certainly never heard anyone say that. And they seem like very well-adjusted, nice children with extraordinary lives.

Bristol Palin is not "a group."

I did not call all single mothers "a whore." I call Bristol Palin a whore. Cuz she is.

who had her baby... Dragged it out on a publicity campaign, posed in a graduation cap and gown holding it for her $200,000 people magazine article, exploited it on not one but THREE reality shows, did a condom commercial with The Situation and then went on a preachy abstinence speaking tour. Bristol Palin who rails against tax waste on things like health care for single mothers but took a quarter of a million dollars in tax money to pay for her reality show.

The reality show where she went to west Hollywood to ride a mechanical bull and pick fights with the locals for drama.

Exploiting her baby at every chance, cashing in on her status as "famous pregnant teenager who scolds teenagers for having sex."

If you can think of a word other than "whore," by all means.. Let us know.
I said "person or group". And I'd call her a hypocrite, not a whore. Much like a shitload of people.

Agreed. The whole family are hypocrites, and that is what makes them all so unlikeable and untrustworthy. Also, she's a homophobe. Plus, did you see her on Dancing With the Stars? Yikes.

I really don't care about the Palins, they've shown the country who they are and their limelight is over (Thank Bob). What I find desperate is that Sarah lacks the reality to understand that her time is well over.

I just assume she's doing it for money. She gets paid for these appearances, so as long as someone is willing to pay her, then I guess no one can blame her for doing it. But it does surprise me that anyone would want to see her speak! Obviously, there are some people - STAYSEA, for instance, still likes her, so it's not impossible.

Bristol Palin doesn't go to political events. She isn't a politician. She's reality show star and spokesperson for abstinence.

Which.... can you imagine how fucked up it must be that your mother's part time job is to point at you and say "don't make the mistakes I made..." while telling kids about the bad things that happen when you have sex?

Bristol Palin goes to Dance Competitions and Bars in West Hollywood with mechanical bulls.
It probably affords them some interesting insights and learning opportunities.

What do you think the kid learned while mom was on the mechanical bull in Weho.

Bristol Palin isn't a politician. She's a reality show star and teen abstinence spokesmodel.

That's because their father is the president and he doesn't really haul them out in public at every opportunity to make money by posing for pictures with them. And he's never used them as proof that getting laid when you're 16 is a bad thing.

How does riding a mechanical bull make one a whore?

Again, I get the hypocrisy thing...but a whore? Slut?

And what's with the fixation on riding a bull making one a slut?

    These are some strange stretches.

    I didn't mention politics.

Just an entitled woman who stokes the fears of a fading white middle class so she can get what money they have left.

And I called her daughter a slut and a whore and pointed out that the two of them are abysmal mothers who exploit their kids.

But didn't really talk about politics. Because Sarah didn't really, either.

I guess you would know a whore if you saw one being a Pornographer. Exploiting whores.

In and of itself... it doesn't. My point with the mechanical bull wasn't about that it was that she isn't a politician, she's a reality show star.

The "Whore" comes from her willingness to cash in on her fame by doing pretty much anything for a buck. Condom commercials to speaking tours about abstinence, shameless moments like the mechanical bull to posing in a graduation gown and cap while holding the baby for a $200,000 fee on the cover of people magazine.

Um... ok. Although I would submit that the well-paid performers in movies I direct are a bit different than Bristol Palin's three year-old son. They choose to be there, they get paid well and aren't forced into doing anything for the profit of someone else.

    So there's no "exploiting" there.

While I guess you can call the performers in adult movies "whores," I'm not totally in agreement. I don't see the same willingness to do just about anything for fame and money from guys like Francois Sagat. He'd never make a condom commercial and then do a speaking tour telling people to not have sex while promoting his new movie in which he has sex... for instance.

But I'm glad that you agree that if anyone knows a whore when he sees one... it would be me.

Umm, yes, they are whores - that I wouldn't disagree with at all (can't see how anyone could), but what is your point? And how is POD exploiting them? De you have knowledge about him and his role in his job or industry that we don't know about? Just because someone is making money in the porn industry doesn't necessarily mean they are exploiting the workers (not that it doesn't happen, just like in many other industries, and probably more so than usual).

I don't agree with calling Bristol Palin a whore, but can't agree with you accusing someone of exploiting employees unless you have proof.

If I had a baby and could get $200,000 just for posing for a photo with him or her, I'd do it too! I guess I am also a whore! Well... a wannabe whore, anyway. :P
