    Anyone else watch the 20/20 show about him tonight? .... interesting. The way they presented it leaves me neutral maybe. But I think he could get off.... minus the attitude of officials there. They seem convinced.

    I felt the same way when they aired an 'overview' program about him here in aus recently.
    edit- i hope no-one forgets that irrespective of premeditation or not, the fact remains he opened fire carelessly and killed an innocent woman. there must be some accountability, no ?

    I don't agree with the premise and actually find it insulting.

    I'm curious on your take...is the "better than that" view acceptable? Where do character and accountability enter?

    It would seem that his disability has already been a factor in his bail hearing and consequent release.

    :( the blog's been removed, or at least i can't access it ... i can't imagine what he would be up to now. if his affidavit is anything to go by it will be more about him and barely a mention of reeva, no?

    i was referring to the previous link you put up which leads nowhere, it says the page is not found, so if this is that blog then yes (& thank you). i see i misunderstood in thinking it was written by him and it goes into his disability -vs- character. i didn't read it all, i don't expect people are somehow more saintly cause they're disabled. that's ridiculous. since when did 'my legs made me do it' make sense, lol lol

    i've experienced it firsthand.

    people can look at you differently when you have a disability.

    oh i'm sure they do. bigots are everywhere, i used to get stared at as a kid (and even verbally insulted) for being a migrant lol. those things play havoc with your mind over the years but you have to find a balance, you don't go out and kill someone.

    I really do not think that his disability is much of a factor honestly. I think it's his fame, his money, and the color of his skin that is being judged way WAY more than his disability.... he is actually generally viewed as incredibly able. And it's not like he's coming into court in a wheelchair or with crutches. No one can even tell his disabled unless he wears shorts. I just don't think that is really much of a factor in this case in reality.

    i tend to agree. he is an influential member of white society and has up until now put SA in a good light. whether they continue to uphold him or not remains to be seen. this has nothing to do with guilt or culpability it's more about effect of end result.
