He was just added to the Newport Folk Festival....sweet. Joins the Lumineers. And so you see, I have come to doubt
All that I once held as true
I stand alone without beliefs
The only truth I know is you.0 -
The show was not as good as I expected. I had a great time and Jim has major talent- but I felt the band has some kinks to work out (it was only their fourth show together). My biggest issue was the strings and most of the brass being pre-recorded . Come one, you already assembled a band- find two more people to add those instruments.severed hand thirteen2006: Gorge 7/23 2008: Hartford 6/27 Beacon 7/1 2009: Spectrum 10/30-31

They're doing a cool giveaway of 2 tickets to any show, a signed litho, and Jim's LP on this site:

How was the setlist? Did he mix in some good MMJ, MoF, "yim yames," and/or covers? His album is barely over 30 minutes.
I'm a little curious to see how his band does with the new material. It seems like it could be difficult to reproduce in a live setting.
That said, it took a few listens, but his album is really growing on me. I'm looking forward to seeing him in austin and bonnaro.0 -
Jim's Spring tour kicked off tonight down in Louisville...
Would love to see some reviews of this solo show!!!
What was the setlist like and how much was the merch??
Any show specific posters or T-shirts??
Are they allowing cameras & audio recording devices into the venues??

I'm heading down to Nashville on Saturday for the 2 Band Of Horses shows at The Ryman & gotta save some $$$ for the Hatch Prints PLUS I still have to figure out how I'm gonna get AMERICANARAMA TIX!!!
I have faith that it'll all work out in the end :ugeek:'96: Seattle: Key Arena

Ha. I'm seeing him in a couple weeks at the Fonda and looking forward to a poster as well. I think it's just a single tour poster instead of individual dates. Thinking about Americanarama tix too, Dave! A little pricey but thankfully they're playing a Live Nation venue here in SoCal so I can use some of the LN Concert Cash I've built up in their facebook app to knock the price down!Post edited by kasedoug on0 -
Idk about since the official start of his solo tour, but there was no poster at the Johnny Brenda show I went to a little while back. None of the mercy was that great come to think of it... I just picked up the wax.'08- Camden 1-2 '09- Chicago 2; Spectrum 1-4
