Is it me or do PJ seem to really raise their game when in South America. Seem's like an awesome place to go and see them. Shows seem to be a lot more energetic and not so reliant on slower songs.
London 2009
I saw them at London O2 in 2009 and was my favourite PJ show to date......purely because of the energy from the band. Thought Eddie was on fire from the off....a great amount of funny banter from EV with the audience, a few fuck up's along the way with intro's to the song's and I swear he was hammered by the time of YL at the end. Couple of cheeky smokes behind Booms stand.

Comparing setlists between Deluna and Atlanta I fully thought I'd prefer the Deluna boot but it wasn't the case. For me, Deluna never flowed and the band weren't on it. Atlanta from the start the band are into it, the setlist flows and there is some great performances. These 2 shows are perfect examples of how a performance is way more important than reading a setlist.

Fully biased of course because I was there and on the rail right in front of Mike, but I couldn't agree more. You look at the set list and on paper you roll your eyes because it's a festival, looks like a typical festival set list, but they really brought it that night and performed extremely well. They were on fire and it was such a high energy show and they were feeling it - which really comes through in the boot and it sounds fantastic. I believe they ripped through 27 songs in 2 hours that night. A really good boot.
Anyway, I had almost 7 hour drive yesterday and I listened to Mansfield 3 2003, State College 2003, and Benny Hall in the car. Obviously, great shows and those 3 always deliver. It almost seems like the band just wanted to run the gauntlet and totally exhaust themselves on the 2003 and 2000 tours.
