Any other Doctor Who fans on here? I can't wait for the season premiere this Saturday. I thought last season was kind of hit and miss, but started to enjoy it much more towards the end. I also really enjoyed the Christmas special. I think the new doctor has already won me over...Tennant who?

I had a hard time getting into last season but I'll give it another shot.

On a sad note ... rest in peace Elisabeth Sladen (aka Sarah Jane Smith) :(

I saw that today and I was shocked. I didn't know she had cancer. Very sad.

I'm hoping last season was just them working out all the kinks with a new showrunner and new cast. I have higher hopes for this year.

Sea, if you haven't seen it already there is a short 2 minute prequel for the new season:

Yes, I love Doctor Who. Very much looking forward to the new season. Still a Tennant fan here, but Matt Smith is growing on me.

Poor Sarah Jane. When I was four, she and Tom Baker's Doctor were my world.

I started watching Doctor Who this year when it caught my eye on Netflix, and now I'm addicted. I just caught up with all the seasons in the reboot series, plus all the mini-episodes and specials. Now I'm really looking forward to Season 6. Although, not having the ability to watch the episodes back to back is going to suck. I'm used to immediate gratification following the cliffhangers. LOL

I'm still missing David Tennant as the Doctor, but Matthew Smith is growing on me. It's such a great sci-fi show, and I love that they can change the entire cast and it still keeps my interest. That boils down to great writing.

If you have Netflix and haven't watched it yet, I highly recommend it. I compare the first season to Buffy's first, cheesy monsters but a fun storyline. The third season you can really see they ramped up the budget, and from last season onward, it's all in HD. Awesome.

Also, I read about Sarah Jane yesterday and even though I've only seen her character in the new series, what a great lady. She will be missed.

Just saw my first Tom Baker episode a few days ago after only seeing all the new who, a few 1st doctor stories and 1 story each from the second and third doctors. Looking forward to eventually watching more of the classic stories.

Tonight's episode is amazing. I had a million guesses as to what it was going to be about based on the title, "The Doctor's Wife" and the synopsis. Let me just say, I never got remotely close to being right. Such a simple concept that was realized perfectly. Kudos to Neil Gaiman for writing such a wonderful stand alone episode.

Anyone still watch?? I think season 7 might be the best one so far! Can't wait to see what happens with Oswin or Clara or whoever she is. Moffet hints that the season finale will be a major shout out to fan boys, I'm assuming it has something to do with "The Great Intelligence" from the Snowmen episode being that it's something that hasn't been mentioned since the 70's or something.

    Can't wait till April!

So many of my friends watch this show, but I've never brought myself to actually watch it. A friend at work was trying to describe it for me and she started by saying, "He is the lord of time," at which point I checked out of the conversation.
    "I am myself...like you, somehow."
