Any Doctor Who Fans?

Any other Doctor Who fans on here? I can't wait for the season premiere this Saturday. I thought last season was kind of hit and miss, but started to enjoy it much more towards the end. I also really enjoyed the Christmas special. I think the new doctor has already won me over...Tennant who?

On a sad note ... rest in peace Elisabeth Sladen (aka Sarah Jane Smith) :(
I saw that today and I was shocked. I didn't know she had cancer. Very sad.
I'm hoping last season was just them working out all the kinks with a new showrunner and new cast. I have higher hopes for this year.
Sea, if you haven't seen it already there is a short 2 minute prequel for the new season:

10/24/10, Shoreline Amphitheatre, Mountain View, California (24th Bridge School Benefit)
07/11/11, Paramount Theater, Oakland, California (Eddie Vedder Solo Show)

RIP Elisabeth
This is terribly sad :(
Looking forward to the new series too, but still not sure about the new Doctor ...
I'm still missing David Tennant as the Doctor, but Matthew Smith is growing on me. It's such a great sci-fi show, and I love that they can change the entire cast and it still keeps my interest. That boils down to great writing.
If you have Netflix and haven't watched it yet, I highly recommend it. I compare the first season to Buffy's first, cheesy monsters but a fun storyline. The third season you can really see they ramped up the budget, and from last season onward, it's all in HD. Awesome.
Also, I read about Sarah Jane yesterday and even though I've only seen her character in the new series, what a great lady. She will be missed.
Eddie Vedder- 7/16/11
Brad- 4/21/12 (RSD Performance), 4/27/12, 8/10/12
Flight To Mars- 5/23/12
RNDM- 11/27/12
PEARL JAM- 12/6/13 I have finally seen Pearl Jam live!
I look at that, and my mind is back in 1975.

Can't wait till April!
Matt Smith to leave Doctor Who at the end of year
I LOVE it. not sure why i waited this long to watch it. I've only seen one season with Matt Smith as the Doctor as much as i really liked David Tennet Matt seems to be doing a great job.
I'm a big fan of this Amy Pond companion. The whole red head thing .... i'll just stop

He should be the next Doctor, i could almost forgive Matt Smith for leaving if it happened.
Live Action!
:corn:
I saw that. I really liked Matt as the doctor and will miss him in the role. I still haven't had a chance to catch up on the last half of season 7, but hope to get to it soon.
I think he would be great, but he may be too "big" now that he's getting movie roles. Although I suppose he could do it short term.
Sadly True, maybe when he gets old and Who's been off the air for a while.
I got into the show last year, started watching on netflix and quickly became obsessed. Tennant is still my favorite doctor but damn if Smith didn't win me over as well. his leaving is actually giving me a serious case of the bummers...
I would be overjoyed if they went with the next doctor being non-white, either black or middle eastern perhaps. Even though I am a feminist I have to disagree with a lot of fans saying it's time that they have a female doctor...that just doesn't seem right to me.
What did everyone think about the season 7 finale? honestly I'm still processing what the hell happened, I honestly did not see that coming...
