This really is beautiful! This is what I love about the place I live too, very mulicultural and diverse. I grew up celebrating Christmas but don't anymore. I still love the spirit of this holiday though... Peace, love, family, hope...all if this we all have in common no matter what our religious beliefs are or aren't. Happy holidays to all whether yours is tomorrow or some other time if the year!5/3/92 Omaha, NE

that's nice to see. Jesus plays a role in the Muslim faith as well so really everyone should stop and appreciate the season and respect everyone's different views. The man wasn't even any of those religions obviously so respecting interpretations is a must. Sounds like a great party.
We're kicking back, watching 70s and 80s Christmas episodes that i've taped over the years, classic Christmas films, etc. Gifts tomorrow morning and then more relaxing.0 -
I had been dreading Christmas since the one day in September when I found out my mom would be coming up for the holiday and staying with me in my 200 sq ft apartment for three days.
Now, it's done and all of the dread was for naught. Mom only stayed at my place (very comfortably) for one night. The rest of the days were spent getting some quality family time in with my mom and sister out and about then back at my sister's much larger apartment. It was fantastic. I was actually sad to see my mom go.
Even better, it's highly unlikely to ever be repeated again. Next year may be such a non-event that I will have even less of an interest in Christmas.
Is it New Year's yet?I carried a watermelon0
