Oh.  I'm burning with jealousy! ... No, but seriously. So jealous. :shifty: Good to see the guy was a real fan, since he presumably brought that vinyl for them to sign. If I'd had those seats I would have been completely overwhelmed I think... When Eddie came really close to where I was and I just THOUGHT he might get down off the stage and come to where I was right in front of the VIPs because he was obviously thinking about it, I almost had a heart attack, and swooned a little bit. :fp:

I know it's already been said, but it can't be said enough...WOW! What an amazing night!! Although I've been to only a handful of their other shows, this is without a doubt the best one yet! The energy was amazing and from what I've been reading, I don't think there was a bad seat in the house. I was hoping for an acoustic set, and man, did they deliver. Low Light, Off He Goes, Man of the Hour and Nothingman...so perfect! I literally had tears in my eyes. And then rockin to Severed Hand, DTE, Not For You, SOLAT, and of course, GHOST! The whole thing just blew me away...
Thanks PJ, for putting on such an epic show!! And thanks to everyone in the room for such a positive, energetic, and joyful experience!!

I'll ride the wave where it takes me...
Orlando 4/24/92 & 8/23/92, Miami 3/28/94, Ft Laud 10/7/96, Alpine Valley 6/26/98, Missoula 9/30/12, EV Jax 11/24/12 & 11/25/12, Chicago (Wrigley) 7/19/13, Charlottesville 10/29/13, Charlotte 10/30/13, Tulsa 10/8/14, Lincoln 10/9/14, Denver 10/22/14, Jacksonville 4/12/16, Greenville 4/16/16, Telluride 7/9/16, Boston (Fenway) 8/5/16 & 8/7/16, Seattle (Safeco) 8/10/18, Boston (Fenway) 9/2/18 & 9/4/18, Dana Point 10/1/21 & 10/2/21, MSG 9/11/22, Denver 9/22/22, Austin 9/18/23 & 9/19/23.
I loved Better Man with the Save it for Later tag. The sing along was awesome, and the tag was perfect to me! Low Light was also a major highlight, being in front of Mike - he was so into it that is sent shivers down my spine. The whole show he was so fucking breathtaking. That dude really is incredible; had to witness it myself before really understanding what everyone's been talking about. Like.... just WOW. Whole new appreciation for Mike!!!! The only bad thing is that I can't imagine seeing them again without being up close on Mike's side, but that's probably not going to be possible - I've kind of been spoiled right off the bat!
RITFW was also a blast. One of my favorite visual memories was when I saw this guy on someone's shoulders maybe 1/3 back in the middle of the floor, rockin' out up there (I thought wow, that's a good strong friend he's got between his legs, lol!), and Ed made a perfect tambourine toss to him, he made a perfect catch, and then got swallowed by the crowd while in his joy. That seemed perfect from where I was for some reason. One of those lasting flashes in my mind, like a photo, that made me happy.

Anyone know when we will get word if this will be released as a bootleg or not? Hopefully there aren't any legal ramifications getting in the way of them releasing this show...really want a copy, especially with how good this years bootlegs sound.

Good vid!! Thanks! I was wondering why people beside the stage started acting like the band was out before they were... Jeff was crouched behind the speakers!

Ed said there were legal ramifications that kept Jon Tester from coming on stage so I'm hoping it's because they are planning on releasing an official boot. In the meantime I'm enjoying reliving the show with all the videos on youtube. Such a great night!

I can't imagine that Ed would actually make a point of mentioning how good the bootleg was going to be if there wasn't going to be a bootleg! That would just be cruel! And yeah, I also assume that's the reason Tester didn't come up and say something.

I think someone told me that they asked the Rob about this at the show, and he also said he had no reason to think there wouldn't be one (though didn't know for sure). I think there will be one (I'd be kind of devastated if there wasn't, being my first show!).

:?: How much money did they raise, you mean? If so, no idea. The tickets earned about $400k I think. Plus merch and meet n greet and dinner experience $$. But I have no idea what they'd be left with after expenses. There is also the value of publicity for Tester to consider - not insignificant.

That's the best (clearest) video I think I've seen so far. Nice job!
Not my video, but yeah, it's an awesome video! There are some good ones starting to surface. Love seeing the different angles of the performance...missed a lot of the little moments being up in top of 208.

I've always read that a band gets about 25% of the gross at a concert.
Went to the Rally at the Oval at the University prior to the show. Tester and Jeff were there and I got the whole thing on video. The video is long 20 minutes and Jeff in is all of it giving several speeches, drawing names for tickets, and autographing stuff for fans. http://youtu.be/YZUcqA1qC4Q

I'm finally home! (Some of my family lives in Montana, so I have not been able to properly get on the computer and post.)
The Missoula show was so amazing, I loved being in GA! Most of the people were really nice, MOST is the key word. (I ran into an really nasty and rude person on my way back from taking a bathroom break between Mudhoney and PJ sets.)
We talked about the opener at lunch on Sunday, I just have to say, "I called it!"
I loved the small intimate feel, though the Adams center was unbelievably HOT and stuffy! Mr. RK almost passed out twice, and he stayed in the back while I stayed up front.
Thanks to my ticket buddies Rob and Anthony, THANK-YOU for hooking me up with your extras!
My only disappointment for the weekend was not meeting everybody that I see posting in here that I wanted to meet!
The joy of life comes from our encounters with new experiences, and hence there is no greater joy than to have an endlessly changing horizon, for each day to have a new and different sun.
