    Barry Soetoro is his adopted name....from what I understand his name changed when his step dad adopted him....did he change it back to Obama legally?

    Im getting rid of PJ Bootlegs, EV tix, etc... if anyone is interested let me know.

    I wont support someone that supports this guy via raising $2mill for him.

    After the gun scandal that he exercised excutive privilege on, he should be impeached.

    Not to mention all the protesting EV did about war and Obama has been in more countrys with our military fighting than Bush!

    Its a joke and he is counting on his fans to not pay attention here and bounce up and down at his shows.
    What happen to "no more war" ? and blaming the president ? its been four years and EV raises $2Mill buck for him ? Really??? :nono: The old Eddie is 'Gone'.

    Liked him better when he was promting Ralph Nater based on Ralph's character.

    most of it is a game to him. nothing more than entertainment. plays us against ourselves. baiting. hes a master at it. Hes a master baiter. :mrgreen:

    seriously though, not much I can see thats either overt or covert about some of these posts from him. Says a lot about others though. as vehemently as some oppose the views as stated here , they continue to engage in it. rather than simply ignoring what they may find objectionable.

    If some find it that objectionable click the report button, but I think much thought goes into wording so it stays within posting guidelines. he often uses this as a means of shutting others down or at least his interpretation of them.

    I don't blame you......I got into the band way back when I heard they were trying not to use ticket master so that people could afford tickets.......Eddie is coming to my town and the tickets are so much there is no way I could bring myself to pay that amount. Now I see he is supporting a dinner ( I don't care who it is for) at Twenty thousand a plate? They sold out in the biggest way! Like the guy in Metallica that supports horrendous fines on kids that record there music......Greed! If you don't stand for something you will fall for anything!

    Yes Eddie V has fallen to politics. Used to like what he had to say, he was alyways full of it on some things but he was thinking and sincere. Now he feels sold out. He needs to stop knocking the BILL OF RIGHTS. What other rights dont you like?

    i think you are about 9 years too late for the eddie hate and the huff and puff about selling the things you liked and maybe even cherished up until about 6 months ago.... we went through it all in the lead up to the iraq war, and you know what? most of those people still post here and still renew their membership and still buy merch and music from here...

    i see this is him using his right to publicly support a candidate and you employing your right to make a similar statement by selling the things you don't want anymore. you are a consumer, you vote every day with how you spend your money. i understand your frustration but you aren't the first and you won't be the last.

    it is like clockwork that we have to read stuff like this every election cycle....

    But seriously, I personally am OK with Ed and PJ's left of center thinking but not to the point that it dominates my view of the music. The songs that appeal to me the most are about people and personal relations ("Off He Goes", "Nothingman", "Save You", "Corduroy", Betterman" etc.) and spiritual/philosophical matters ("Marker in the Sand", "Faithful", "I am Mine", etc.) Really, if you think about it, not that many of their songs are political. Politics is important but to me people and ideas are more important.

    I agree with some of what you say. Ideas are important. I just take exception with who he is raising money for. I have felt the meaning of PJs songs extremely.

    I try not to support McDonalds, their salad isnt that bad, but still I dont because I dont like torured/drug cow meat.

    They have beautiful songs, I just dont want to support the cover ups and loss of rights of the O administration. Really thats it.

    Thanks for articulating yourself in a thought out manner.
