The first run was probably more expensive because it really was limited edition at the time and was also in a non standard sized box.
Of course. Goes without saying. So throw me a bone and make something special about what I paid for. Not seeing it as of now.

Of course, Santos, just send me a back pack and I will continue my biased support of everything the 10C does.:lol:

As one who bought the original Bluray, I am glad 10c came through with a re-release for others who missed out. Not sure why people who already have it are complaining. It's like anything else, over time things go down in price (except some PJ posters and vinyl). I don't feel slighted I paid $70 a year ago for it. I have enjoyed watching it while others only wished they could see the bonus stuff. Glad 10c re-released it and hope there is plenty to go around.
101% agree. Don't moan it's cheap. Let's all be happy
  • hmmm, I already have it on DVD, but I've definitely always craved the BD. I'll have to think long and hard on this.

Don't think too long. Quantities are limited
I don't think I need two copies of the same thing. I already had to settle for the DVD, so I think I can survive without the BD. Hopefully someone who really needs it can get it in my stead.
  • Thank Jeebus.

    Bought the Blu-ray.
  • you know, i was looking everywhere for my deluxe box set for weeks. my apartment is not all that big and there are only two places a dvd set could be.

finally found it with my cds. had completely forgotten that it was tiny little cd packaging size.

either way, i ordered this set too.
you paid to get in, you're free to leave.

kudos to 10c. The people spoke. They listened. Fans have a chance now to own something. I am not purchasing the new set but I can't tell you how nice it is to see them find a compromise and not ruin the integrity of the limited original version but still make those who missed out very much happy. Sure some will be upset as they have mentioned here in this thread but you can't make everyone happy and think of all the net happiness gained from those that never had the opportunity until now.
  • Those who bought the original still have a different and more collectable product. If they put the EXACT same thing out for $30 cheaper, you MIGHT have a better argument, though as others have pointed out, having it for an extra year to enjoy might be worth it to most.

Being in the camp of those that missed out, I'm obviously thrilled with today's news. Hopefully they will take pre-orders for an allotted period of time and give notice rather than having some arbitrary number they plan to produce.

Thanks for the second chance 10C!

  • Great, I'll buy the BD even though I have the old DVD set.

But how come they were twice as expansive? Just to make the money of because it was a more limited run?

Let's hope this version is better because there are some bizarre pixillation situations in the first go round...

Nice job ten club on re-releasing this so more people could get it that missed out the first time. Still wish there was a better way to communicate with members when new stuff hits the goods section.

regardless...$30 less for the same thing?

No time like the present. Blu-ray is the way to go.
  • OMG some people are just NEVER happy!! Of course it's going to be more a year ago. It was a NEW release - a first edition.

I was lucky enough to get it a year ago but I have friends (also 10C members) who weren't so lucky. They are now the proud owners of a boxed set and are over the moon.

    Thank you Ten Club!

and you are happy with paying twice the price for a lesser item?

WHY not lower the price of the shirts, the hats, the books, the boots, etc

You're getting 2 extra discs. So yeah, it's very much worth it.

Of course it sounds different, I don't remember if the old one was only for members, I think it wasn't only for memebers, I don't recall reading anything about any booklet, however, as I said, I think this time they made the booklet out of each 8-paged booklet from each disc, the sleeves and the inner picture sleeve from the cardboard envelope, I don't think there will be any new material, just the old one rearranged...

I edited my post on the first page and I said something regarding the extra 30 bucks. I paid those extra 30 bucks a year ago, almost, so I had the chance to watch and enjoy all three discs for almost a year before, so I don't care about the 30 extra , I can't complain now, but the people who didn't have the chance to get it before and can get it now for half the price are surely quite happy... I see it as a win-win...
