If science is the liberal democratic thought then I am fine with that. Why am I not a little bit suprised at your thoughts on this? I think you may be the definition of the awful Rebublican stereotype.

Obama is bad, hates horses, gay people are only 4% of the country and bigots don't want gay marriage so everyone shouldn't have equal rights, global warming isn't real.

What other brilliant insights am I missing? Or should we just keep talking about horses?
Shoot illegal immigrants on sight. You missed that one ;)

HAHA. How could I forget. The best gem of all.

They don't cross the border...they don;t get shot. Pretty simple actually. I suggest you watch a show called "Border Wars" on Nat Geo if you don;t think it's a real problem.

I don't need to watch TV to know that illegal immigration is a problem. It's called newspapers and books.

I am not debating someone who thinks murdering people is the solution to illegal immigration.

They only get shot if they cross illegally. They don't step across the line...nothing happens. Pretty simple solution. I mean we put up electric fences around farms. Sometimes those electric fences even kill livestock...but enough livestock step into those fences, the rest of the herd gets the idea.

There was an overwhelming scientific consensus a thousand years ago the world was flat to.

But back to "seriousness", there are just as many scientists who dispute the fact of global warming that support it. Try googling it. I don't have the patience to post links. I will leave with this though...if we are "heating" up the world...who created the Ice Age?

Take it for what you want. They have the same rights to get into this country as all of the poor and uneducated immigrants who came here from the rest of the world have...my family included. Oh yeah, they did it legally to. I guess you wouldn't want to know what happened to people trying to sneak off of Ellis Island a hundred years ago would have been faced with then?

ok ... so, there really is only 2 explanations here:

    1. you're trolling ... you know that what you post is so absurd but you do it to be a troll and bait everyone or
    2. you actually believe what you type and you have essentially been indoctrinated by right wing conservative propaganda

either way - there really is no point in continuing this conversation ...

The troll comments always make me laugh to be quite honest. I made a legitimate point and asked you a legitimate question. If you can't or don't want to answer that's your prerogative.

uhhh ... no, you did not make a legitimate point ... that's the problem ... you only think you did ... but what you said was akin to saying the earth was flat ...

pretty much every scientist or anyone who studied climatology can tell you what created the last ice ages ... using that as an argument against global warming is absurd ... it indicates a clear lack of understanding of the subject matter ...

it's like e arguing that a big mac is healthy because spiders make webs ...

There are many many many other scientists who do not agree with global warming. A quick search gave me this one first. There are 1000's more. Would you like me to post them so you can read them all?

like i've been saying ... good luck with your partisan indoctrination ... you are basically a stereotype now - predictable on every issue with no indication of independent thought or critical thinking ... whatever those right wing hawks want you to believe - you are buying hook, line and sinker ...

c'mon ... your argument against global warming is to post links that come up when you google "global warming hoax"!?? ... the ceo's of major oil companies have had no choice but to accept global warming, the premier of our dirty oil sands province had no choice but to accept the science ... what you are essentially doing is proving why "controversies" like global warming and birth certificates happen in the US to begin with ... i am pretty sure you don't understand the basic science of global warming and that your conclusion is simply based on what your "trusted" sources of information is telling you to believe ...

I'm sure arguments like this happen all over the world.

It's fine to take a position based on what you know at a moment in time. The problem we have in America is that we always want to win. It's admirable from the standpoint that we are willing to go down with the ship, but in reality it is that we are not willing to say (after new or more information becomes available), "I was wrong" and move on.

But I can see from other posters on this site that come from other countries, they have that same problem too apparently.

Yes...I know...everything that disputes global warming is known as a hoax. More liberal press spoon feeding. Anyone who disputes these facts must be idiots correct? I mean all of he scientists that sign their names to these articles all must either be idiots or in it on it?! It's only the ones who support global warming are the real "truth tellers' correct?

As someone who grew up in a household that had both parents directly work in a field related to this, I can say with absolute certainty that the number of climate change scientists that do not believe humans are impacting it is less than 5% of all scientists. There is overwhelming evidence that we are impacting our enviroment. That is just a fact.

There are multiple and multiple of sources that would state otherwise...but if your parents said less than 5% that must be the truth. :corn:

admitting your wrong is something that is definitely common around the world ... no disagreement there ...

but the problem you have in the US is the pervasiveness of misinformation and the effectiveness of those campaigns because of a lazy population ... one that chooses not to think critically ...

if a major celebrity from anywhere else in the world would come out and say obama wasn't born in the US (see donald trump) they would be laughed at and ridiculed by the majority of their population ... but in the US ... it's only "one" side and when that happens ... the "other" side gets more beholden to support the opposing viewpoint ...

it's like if liberals were to say global warming is a hoax ... guess what conservatives would do!? ... it's absolutely ridiculous that in this day and age of information that someone can continue to spew talking points right out of a PR campaign and believe it is factual ...

So other than PR campaigns where do you get your insightful wisdom from? :corn: You do realize everything that is published has a spin on it correct? Of course you know that. You paint all AMericans as being lazy and one that doesn't think critically so you know everything. And to address your point about Donald Trump...if another celebrity from around the world questioned Obama's birth it's not if we thought they were crazy or not...we wouldn't give a shit.

Are there? Please provide them. Yeah, I'm basing this off just what my parents told me. That's it. Got me.

Have you spoken to any scientists? Read any books on the subject? Or did you just google "climate change hoax"?
