Manageable. Doesn't sound like they are going to get desperate and go for a big name. I am excited to see Warren. Going to be real interesting. Injuries happen, there was no way this team was going to get through the season with 5 starters. Just get through the next couple weeks until CC is back and things should be alright.

Fortunately, it looks Baltimore is going to lose again which would give the Yanks a 5 game lead in the division.

Adam Warren scouting report


He really throws two fastballs, a two-seamer and a four-seamer. His two-seamer comes in at around 90-92 mph, but his four seamer is his real bread and butter coming in at around 93-96. His pinpoint control is what really sets his fastball apart from others.

Warren also uses a mix of sliders, curveballs, and changeups to catch hitters off guard. He used a curve in college, but the Yankees have put in a lot of work on improving it and it has become his best pitch. Warren’s changeup has also become a great pitch for him because he is able to locate it so well, but it does not have exceptional break.

Yeah, Yankees scouted his last start but I'd imagine they are scouting every potential pitcher than may hit the market. They watched Wandy Rodriguez pitch last week or so. Due dilligence I am sure.

He would make a nice addition if they could work out a contract and get the supposed "anxiety" under control.

Agreed, would take a lot though and not sure that would justify it. I'd really like him on the team though. I don't think the anxiety is as big of an issue as it's made out to be. He was his own agent breifly and is pitching well.
