Does the band know that Avocado exists? Come Back is the only song off the album that gets played on a regular basis.

Not true at all. There are several songs that get played more than Come Back.

Did he say, "This one's for Paul"? Details please!!:mrgreen::mrgreen:

No, he didn't mention the guy by name....just pointed him out in the crowd and and said something to the effect that "...this song is a dedication for this guy here....can't remember if you said you were coming tomorrow night...but we'll do it now just in case something terrible happens....you never know, life is fragile so we'll play it now" words to that effect anyway.
    He pointed!

I would literally pass out. Then come to and start sobbing.

    Wow. Very cool! Thanks!

More fanviews please! Thank you!:mrgreen::mrgreen:

Amazing show, I've seen them many time as I'm sure many of you all have and this show was incredible, great set great crowed, so much energy in that room tonight! Oh and eddies vocals were spot on he really was on form. Great set though I thought, Nothingman was a highlight for me tonight.

Thanks to everyone at the show tonight (audience and band and crew and staff), you all contributed to an amazing night. The singing from the audience was stunning. Almost everyone knew almost every word to almost every song and we sung them LOUD!!!

If anyone would be kind enough to pick me up this gray shirt and gray hat from a merch stand, I would pay you for it, plus shipping and you could have anything on my FT: list other than the Deluxe Blu-Ray and Soto.

Would be looking for a size XL shirt, and if hat is fitted, size 7 1/2

Thank you soooo much in advance!!!!

Here's the pick of the merch:

7th time seeing PJ and the best yet. From start to finish, they were incredible. Really on fire. Release was beautiful, the only way to start the tour! Ending of Immortlaity was out of this world. Even Flow seemed to go on forever and was fantastic. Pilate - wow that just sounded different, really fucking good and getting Half Full made my night. Porch, fuck that did go on forever. Crazy jam by the guys. Mike and Ed worked the crowd all night, getting right up up to the ones at the front. During Porch Ed even took a camera from someone in the crowd, took of pic of them and gave it them back. And then there's Come Back for Paul. Was made up for him, saw him after the show. He's happy!

I'm reading comments by people that weren't there that it was a short set. Fuck that. You weren't there, it was amazing. 26 songs? Not a bad way to start the tour.

    Round 2 tomorrow :D
    Quality,..that counts..and with pearl jam,you got it all.. :D

It was a good show, lots of energy from the band. They sounded tight and it's always fun to see them again. Although I may get flamed for lack of fanboy loyalty, I found the setlist to be fairly stock, with the same songs they play at almost every show -- DTE, Given to Fly, Alive, Even Flow, Corduroy, Small Town, State of Love and Trust, Rockin' in the Free World, etc. They've played these songs at nearly every show I've seen and I'm starting to wonder if I really need to fly around the world to see them play the same songs one more time. Seven songs from Ten, my god. Loved hearing 1/2 Full, but it's a shame that they pay so little attention to pretty much everything after the first three albums and Backspacer. Anyway, a good show, but a stock setlist that made me sad that they didn't play, well, "Sad." Hoping they mix it up a bit tonight. Guess we can count on "Daughter" for sure.

Spot on review, really good vibe last night.

Highlight of the night for me was Porch - incredible!

Wish I was going tonight too, but I may just go and buy some merch to make up for it.

Terrific crowd, went on my own and was chatting to a random trio of guys within no time at all while waiting for PJ - that's the reason I love this band, only the second time I've seen them live and everyone makes you feel at home and pretty much everyone is on the same wavelength.

Gutted I didn't get any of Eddie's red wine on my clothes at the end - that'd be a stain I'd never wanted to remove!

Hope to see all you magnificent fans in future.

    Really really incredible show

The band looked to be an amazing mood - great interaction on stage, Jeff was well up for it, Ed was in the form of his life .... And yeah they play comeback .... Life doesn't need to get much better than yet

But tonight we get to do it all again ....

  • Quality set, band were on incredible form, had to leave after Alive but heard RITFW as we departed, my 3rd time seeing the guys and probably the best, seats were definitely the way to go. Was with my mate Phil who hadn't seen them since 2000 at Wembley when we went, was at the MEN in 2009 with my Wife although I preferred my experience this time round, no beer thrown on me with people who were only interested in the hits, most likely probably own Ten and that's it.

Yes. What you said. This setlist is a huge disappointment for me. OK. the songs are great, the crowd is awesome. The band is the best band in the world. But playing Even Flow, Given to Fly, Small Town, Just Breathe, Yellow Ledbetter over and over again in the same order is lame. I'm going to see the band in Berlin (both night) but starting to loose interest. No expectations. :( :( :(

Based on what I've seen/heard so far on youtube (thanks uploaders); they sounded pretty "sharp", and Ed's voice was best of what i've heard in years.... (imho)

I hope both night would be amazing. I'm glad those are indoors shows. I doubt the band surprises me though. There will be a few songs I love but the rest would be predictable. I'm tired of listening to Givet to Fly, The Fixer, Got Some in the same order. 1st encore JUST BREATHE would kill me.:lol::lol:

Such an amazing show and setlist. What made it special for me (besides the band being on top form) was sharing it with some amazing friends old and new.

    Tonight should be equally amazing.
