    CONGRATS haffajappa!!! YAY!!! Oh and good news.. The dogs in Joplin are now safe.. Animal control removed the animals from the home.. and they are now in good hands.. Oh and Winston's human got a new doggie this week!! She said it was terribly hard cause she still missed her Winnie doggie, but Icharus is adorable..He is a pit/ St. Bernard mix.. and my sis calls me daily to ask what to do with him hnext!!LOL I wish I could post pics from this phone!!

    Hey guys.

    Sorry I've not been around much been busy like crazy.
    Just wanted to thank you all again for helping Sammi raise nearly 2k!

    I still shed some tears every now and then for my girl and it still feels empty when I come home or go for walks or come downstairs where she usually slept. The other night I took advantage of the evening off and had a bbq with some family members in the yard... it was hard to have an empty space below the plate of burgers and steaks (which is of course where Sammi would park her furry self and wait patiently).

    Lately I have been dabbling around the interwebs for husky / malamute puppies (trying to find ones from shelters) just out of curiosity. But then that curiosity turned into the idea of having another, which turned into serious scowering of the web, which turned into me asking the parents (yeah i'm 24 and still in uni and STILL live at home lol).... well my dad flat out said no. But then i started planting the seed in everyone's heads of another and my mom is pretty on board with it. I've sent out a few inquiries to some shelters about puppies they were advertising... But I can't get over this feeling of guilt that we are trying to "replace" sammi so soon... just the idea of it.... anyone else gone through that?

    haffajappa, others in here will be able to explain it better then me, but you can never replace Sammi, I felt the same way when i was thinking about getting Sophie.So i know exactly how you feel.

    This little girl is up for adoption at the Victoria shelter... I have emailed them already with interest but I don't think she will be there long... JuST LOOK AT THAT FACE!!

    My mom, brother, boyfriend, and uncle are all gung ho for a new companion, but my dad is still not crazy on the idea since he hates the shedding and the mess. Anyways, hopefully we can come to a decision in time AND make it there if it's a yes - it is a 2 hour ferry ride away after all. Wish me luck!

    i will try to either call in sick tomorrow/find someone to replace my shift so ic an get on the ferry and go there if my mom agrees.... i cant believe this is actually happening
