what would make you think he doesn't have a shot?0

unemployment above 7.5% means anyone has a shot.that’s right! Can’t we all just get together and focus on our real enemies: monogamous gays and stem cells… - Ned Flanders

more like electoral system + weak democracy = anyone has a shot ...0 -
how would you guys feel about "President Romney" I've read his political views ..well some of them anyway and some I like and some I'm not so sure about, policical views change after they get in office anyway.

the way all this back and forth political mud slinging has been going I really didn't think he had a snowballs chance in hell lately but then again everything changes often in politics it seems.polaris_x wrote:what would make you think he doesn't have a shot?

How I feel about it can be summed up this way...President Barmitt Obamney. They really won't do things all that differently besides a regulation here and a few tax percent there...that’s right! he is the establishment's candidate ... he has raised the most money ... he has been the front runner from the get go ... it really shouldn't be a surprise he will get the GOP nomination ...0 -
Well,
if Cobra Commander does not unite the entire world under ONE RULE by the end of 2012,
I would say Mitt has a snowballs chance in hell.
I feel like Newt was sent in as "the Destroyer" to turn this already laughable Republican Side Show Circus in to a flaming clown car of doom for the GOP. In other words he was tasked with taking pot shots at Romney's credibility to partially debilitate him in the run up to the general election.
I think the elite is luke-warm on Romney for one reason or another (to be blunt, i think Popular Opinion rules the day, and they know that if he isn't "likable" in the run up to the presidency, he won't make a good smoke screen for any of their plans, because if they don't like you at the start, they start to hate you sooner) ... look at just how much Entirely-Opposite-Of-His-Campaign-Rhetoric stuff "Obama" (those behind him) got pushed through simply because everyone was fucking spell bound by [bigoted inflammatory name removed by Admin] (i won't apologize for this comment ... I am not racist ... I'm making a non-PC political point ... which is that the color of the man's skin undeniably played a LARGE part in both his election AND in popular public opinion of him ... that, and his rather nondescript "Change" anthem helped bedazzle people into pulling his lever at the polls) ...
taking a step back to look at Obama's real legacy, it becomes clear that, minus all the "fear-mongering", points made in the film, The Obama Deception (thanks, Alex Jones) are largely valid, and Obama is nothing more than an extremely gifted Public Relations Mouthpiece (his mouth woos them peoples) for THE Establishment.
He may not be the most beloved president in history, but I'm pretty sure "they" want him back in for another term ...
that is ... if they even intend to let the country get that far down the road (ie. I'm starting to question whether 2012 will in many ways be some sort of New Age \ New Era \ utterly paradigm shattering year where The Man lets all the old order ways fall to pot, and rise like a Phoenix in to a new system ... sounds crazy, but at this point - given ALL the global instability on the back burners - i'm not ruling this out yet ... again, to be Non-PC blunt ... I have always had this fishy feeling that "a black man as president sure makes a great capstone to the entire USA experiment" ... but i know that is kooky-town stuff.

If I opened it now would you not understand?0 -

I think he's the only GOP candidate with a chance to win over the centre, so yes.Believe me, when I was growin up, I thought the worst thing you could turn out to be was normal, So I say freaks in the most complementary way. Here's a song by a fellow freak - E.V0

no, no one has a shot not named Obama. The GOP candidates (other than Ron Paul, who doesn't have a chance) are all crazy. It's like they were part of "The Hills Have Eyes" and wandered off the set.
Romney says he doesn't care about poor people and is a Mormon, so right there you lose the election. And Romney 100% will be the GOP candidate. I will bet anyone $10,000 that is the case.
Four more years of Obama.

I'd agree with this. He has a shot. But if he does get in, nothing of any significance will change. Except maybe the rest of the worlds perception of the voting public in America.0 -
Forgive my ignorance, but when did Romney say, "I don't care about poor people?"he still stands wrote:no, no one has a shot not named Obama. The GOP candidates (other than Ron Paul, who doesn't have a chance) are all crazy. It's like they were part of "The Hills Have Eyes" and wandered off the set.

"Former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney said on Wednesday that he's "not concerned about the very poor," citing the social safety net in place for that segment of the populace and adding that he's focused on the middle class..."
He has off shore bank accounts - although I don't have a problem with it, a lot of people do.
Obama will crush him in a debate, as he would with anyone. (that's not me supporting Obama)
The economy is turning around.
...I just don't see any way that Obama loses. Again, that's not an endorsement for the pitiful tyrant, just my perception of the public opinion.Everything not forbidden is compulsory and eveything not compulsory is forbidden. You are free... free to do what the government says you can do.0 -
Does Romney have a shot? Absolutely. Anyone who says he doesn't is delusional.
In fact, state polls are saying Obama will lose:

Personally, I think it's too early to know who will win. I'd bet against Obama, just because I think the economy will turn south this year. But, I think we'll be pretty sure by end of summer though. Because by end of summer, we'll have a good idea of where things will most likely be by November. Here's a new demo called "in the fire":

why do you think the economy will turn south this year? The trend is upward. What specific event will change the trend?Everything not forbidden is compulsory and eveything not compulsory is forbidden. You are free... free to do what the government says you can do.0 -

or optimism depending on which way you look at it and who you want to win...."You can tell the greatness of a man by what makes him angry." - Lincoln
