when you do this type of thing own it don't rationalize the ugliness behind it
    after the fact

I'm not rationalizing anything. I don't believe your sister made the lightbulb explode. is that not clear? that's not a slight against your sister. I just don't believe that happened. it's not ugly. it's my opinion. but rather than comment on any other post, you choose to deflect that by, yet again, playing the victim and being personally offended by something so minimal.

let's be honest here. no matter what I say you cry foul. it's been obvious for a long time now. look in the mirror and see the ugliness of your condescension and judgment of not just me but anyone who opposes your view. I've never seen anyone on here who waves the flag of love and hugs and yet seems to conjure up so many feelings of anger and hate towards themselves. it's really quite fascinating.

thanks for the laugh though, YOU telling ME I need to make an intelligent post. that's a good one.

trust me when I say this: I will not bother to engage you any more. I share Byrnzie's 2012 resolution-ignore the trolls.

And here I was thinking this thread was about the rational and critical thinking (as opposed to the 'bring back god' thread' which is just for that... talking about god). But it just derailed, once again, into a god thread, peppered with spirits and ghosts and events. Again, some feeling sorry for others and certainly no empathy (ie, being sensitive to one's needs/understanding one's position, putting one's self into someone else's shoes - not being patronising and pitying someone else). Certainly not dicussing the 'rational' here, not even philosophy.

Nice to see Yoda's face though

Catefrances - like what you said.

I'm guessing this thread will be locked, just like all the others.

When one pities another human being
that is not an insult or feeling above the other in any way

    it is empathy

we can think of many examples we feel everyday

in this case the anger placed I understand but it is still negative and counterproductive
to the one feeling it ... this I am sorry for

For the record: pity <> empathy

Again your behavior was trollish in that your post did not state views on the subject of
the spirit world it was only a derogative statement meant to hurt.

I would have loved to hear a rational nonjudgemental response from you.

Good idea to ignore especially when you can not be kind and must behave in a trollish manner
to bring a hurtful emotional response from another poster.
That alone, ignoring, would be the kind mature thing to do

Yoda is really cute and if I remember correctly kind, loving and compassionate
something to work towards for all of us :D

Pity – noun: 1. sympathetic or kindly sorrow evoked by the suffering, distress, or misfortune of another, often leading one to give relief or aid or to show mercy. 3. to feel pity or compassion for, be sorry for; commiserate with.
In this situation I feel sorry for the negativity and discord found in another poster

    I would like to add...

there are events happening everyday that can not be rationalized
that rationalization depends on the knowledge and proof of today only
    not that of tomorrow
