anybody who is praying for obama to fail now a year from the election is also rooting for the country to fail. that is treason and those people should be tried as traitors.

it is a very sad commentary on america when people would rather see an entire country and economy fail because they do not like the one man sitting in the white house...

that said, romney is not going to win against obama. too much baggage...

remember that "obamacare" is pretty much the exact same bill as "romneycare", so romney's big government credentials as well as his inconsistnecies on his positions makes him too erratic to win the gop nomination...they want someone that holds on to stupid ideas even in the face of facts (see bush in buildup to iraq war, cain's 9-9-9 plan, etc..) or someone who talks to them like they are in 3rd grade...if romney were to get the nomination it would be a bloodbath with obama winning a second term...

So I see you're just choosing to ignore the political suicide aspect of this and just post nonsense. Shame.

Coming from an American who bashes America daily this seems like some good 'ol bait. you can't be serious.

And, you are broad stroking (that sounds funny) because anybody who wants Obama to fail knows this is necessary for America to get back on track. duh.

NEWSFLASH----THIS JUST IN----OBAMA HAS ALREADY FAILED> OPEN YOUR MIND AND LOOK AROUND!

Now,back on topic and lets stay away from baiting ok (read posting guidelines)

...As he readies to go to Iowa and campaign for Gov. Mitt Romney Friday, Christie said he isn't concerned about surges in the polls for other candidates.
He said Romney "is the only person who has the staying power to do this."

    i am dead serious...

and no, it is not bait. if you or anyone would rather see the country fail than obama succeed at anything that might fix it you are hoping for the collapse of your country. that is one of the definitions of treason.

and to you it sounds like "bashing". to me it is criticizing. i expect better of my country, and when i see my country fucking up i have a right to call it on those fuck ups and i have the right to criticize my government and my country. so i freely use that right. this country CAN to better. i do not wish to see my country fail, i do not wish for the economy to collapse, and i do not wish for obama to fail. anyone that wishes for those three things is a fool. and from your posts it seems that you want those 3 things to happen, so yes you are being foolish. it seems you would rather let the country go to the crapper for another 13 months while congress does nothing but stalls, until whomever you are supporting, i guess romney this month, can magically swoop in and save the country from the brink....

we are all in this together. i hated bush's guts, but did i ever wish the country to fail? NO. did i ever wish for the economy to fail so that obama or clinton can sweep in and magically save it? NO! because i understood that if the president fails, then the country fails, and we can not have that....not now, not ever...i just want someone to fucking fix it and fix it yesterday. people are suffering these days and we do not have the luxury of time to be messing aroud and playing politics while our economy collpses.

and as i have told you personally before, if you do not like the way i post, do not childishly post the posting guidelines to me. PM me, or report me to a moderator. i have attempted to work this out with you already.

    .
I wouldn't call it praying ... observing is the more appropriate term.

Christie would be an excellent choice by Romney. There are many conservatives that are not strong supporters of Romney but love Christie. Adding him to the ticket would unite the base and provide the GOP with a more moderate candidate to capture independent voters.

Oh, I remember, the threatening pm where you told me you were keeping a "list" of all the times I have "baited" you so you could "report me to the mods". I thought threatening pm's were against the guidelines. (not to mention how hilarious it is that someone would actualy do that)
    Whatever.
Show me where I want those three things to happen? You can't put your words in my mouth. So please stop. Thanks. :D. And don't forget to stay on topic! ;)

    Back on topic...
A senior Romney aide, who declined to be named discussing strategy, suggested in an interview with Yahoo News that Romney will spend much of his time in the next few weeks directly quoting from the campaign speeches that Barack Obama gave four years ago during his Democratic presidential campaign against Hillary Clinton.
"All you need to do is pull up the calendar and see where he was and what he was saying," the Romney aide told Yahoo News. "He has to explain why he hasn't delivered … That's a winning argument for us."

"I'm frightened that we have a president that doesn't understand America, that he doesn't understand what makes us unique," Romney warned Wednesday at a stop in Clinton. "He would transform America. I will restore America."

restore it Mitt! Obama is a turd clogging the pipes yo!

that might be true. but this race is so all over the place that romney has time to tank it by november 2012. he has been up and down most of the race and he is up right now. but then again so is santorum :o:o:o

plus there are hints of trump running as an independent and apparently palin is running ads in iowa too. it is not too late for her to jump in without risking getting exposed as a hack in the 29 or whatever debates the gop candidates are holding..

I really think Mitt is going to be the candidate and that this whole debate circus has been a fundraising charade. The GOP knows he is the only one with a realistic chance of beating Obama (besides Paul, who they will not support). And Mitt has remained steady in the polls while everyone else fluctuates like moths getting to close to a light bulb.

Palin would only "suggest" entering to gain publicity for her reality ventures ... she may be stupid politically, but I don't think she is as stupid when it comes to making money. Trump has officially turned into a Donald Trump impersonator. I still can't believe I had friends that were talking realistically about him being president 9 months ago.

And back in November. “If we re-elect Barack Obama, Iran will have a nuclear weapon,” Romney said during a debate on foreign policy sponsored by CBS News and National Journal. “If you elect me as president, Iran will not have a nuclear weapon.”

unfortunately ANYONE who wins in 2012 is likely to take us to war. once they are sworn in, the hawks own them.

I hope not. The Greed Over People candidates who are running for president said, "Bring our troops home from Iraq", and Obama does (which, 2011 was a deal reached by Bush in 2008 to bring them home), they still complain (except Ron Paul, I believe). I can't believe some people take them seriously.

aside from ron paul, and i do not consider him a republican per se, no republicans supported bringing the troops home before the tea party won their seats and began to complain about the deficit. only in late 2010 did they begin to say we need to bring them home and even more recently that we should consider cutting military funding. funny how these idiots running in 2012 are attacking obama for bringing troops home when it was bush's agreement. what are these people going to do? put troops back in there???

seriously, what the fuck are they running on other than undoing everything obama has done???

Ike and Reagan must be shaking in their graves right now at the Republicans today.

    They're running on nothing.

those guys would not be republicans today. if they were they would not be on the national stage. the highest office they would have today would be a governor or something. they were way too moderate for today's gop, and would not get the backing of the national republican party leadership, and arguably more important, the support of fox news....

the saddest thing of all is ron paul has a legitimate chance to give obama a run for his money if he gets the nomination. but fox news minimizes his contributions at the debates...fox news does not support him and fox news bashes him every chance they get...

“I need your help, you guys,” Romney exhorted the crowd. “This is a real battle – it’s a battle for the future course of America. I don’t want politicians running America anymore. I want to make sure that we have citizen leaders going to Washington, leading this country, fighting for the soul of this great country.”

“He’s in Hawaii right now,” Romney said. “We’re out in the cold and the rain and the wind because we care about America. He’s out there -- he just finished his 90th round of golf. We’ve got 25 million Americans that are out of work or stopped looking for work or are underemployed.”

“Do you want more of Barack Obama?” Romney asked.

    “No,” the crowd shouted back.

“Do you want more of Obamacare?”

    “No.”

“Do you want promises of higher taxes?”

    “No.”

Christie warned Iowans that if they don’t support Romney in next Tuesday’s caucuses, “I will be back -- Jersey style, people.”

“When you look at that stage and you’ve watched these debates, I think you’ve got to come to the conclusion I’ve come to -- there is no person better qualified by his experience and his character to take on Barack Obama and to lead the United States of America than Governor Mitt Romney,” Christie said.

“Do you want more of Obamacare?”

    “No.”
What is it that he doesn't like about Obamacare? Is it because Romneycare was the basis for Obama's health care law? Is it because of the individual mandate that's in it, which was first a conservative idea back in the late 80s/early 90s?

come on silly, romney saus that it is because romneycare "only works in massachusetts and is not a model for the rest of the country"....

that is like me saying that medicare only works for missouri and is not a model for the rest of the country.

romney puts the flip in flip-flopper.....
