No interest in Christmas

Ahh... the feeling of having no stress as well as no interest still one week til Christmas puts me in the mood for...
pizza, beer, Ramones, and learning to play bass guitar.

I do understand what you mean about the commercialism and all the disingenuous crap that goes on for the entire month. It's overboard and a disgusting display of consumerism. I like to keep the holiday to what it means to me personally, and spend time with family and enjoy the spirit. I'm not killing myself to try to spend $5000 on crap and scrounging to find the 'perfect' gift.
hey, pizza, the Ramones, and beer is sounding pretty good.0 -
im thinking seriously about starting my xmas shopping... im kinda running out of days.hear my name

Actually, it is up to each person to decide if they even choose to celebrate Christmas at all. Stick that one in your pipe and smoke it.for poetry through the ceiling. ISBN: 1 4241 8840 7

i have no christmas tree but i have a smily face and a bachelor pad w/ a corner of it holding my gifts to some children. that's it. simple pimple.
days before christmas i am sneaking into brother's home whilst children and papa bear sleep away a cold winter's night while, i, uncle dickwick, place gifts under a decorated christmas tree. yes the christmas tree is artificial and stuff. i will then sneak away as quickly & quietly as i arrived.
i will then go back home to my christmas treeless one bedroom apartment where i will stroke my ace awhile only after smoking a bong filled w/ some very fine christmas-green-blend homegrown by one of our fine local farmers named northernlights x maui waui. wait.... that aint the fucker's name.or is it? :lolno:
all in all, in our family we all enjoy christmas or at least try too; food, family, and friends. the gift giving is mostly done for the kids.
also in our family we learn about hard work from when we are young. my brother's kids all have jobs.
they are 8 or 9, 10, and 17 years of age. they all work at doing something outside the home. they are not spoiled kids. i love giving them stuff. same as my brother ryan's kids. except ryan is not with us anymore and their mother is a dingbat.for poetry through the ceiling. ISBN: 1 4241 8840 7

I sent out my Christmas cards today, and I feel like I included a smile in each one. I LOVE Christmas! Joy! Joy! Joy!
My favorite day is the Winter Solstice, so this week rocks for meReflection and brilliance; its awesome!
OP, I have no clue how you feel . . . but that's ok, it's the holidays/end of year. Time for me to wrap things up, celebrate the good, let go of the bad, and move on.There is no such thing as leftover pizza. There is now pizza and later pizza. - anonymous

With no lights or decorations up my utility bill for last month was $89.00 and it should be even lower for this month. We're aiming for under $70.00 that would our record for December.

We've always celebrated Yule (Winter Solstice). Holly and Ivy plentiful as is the mistletoe. Unfortunately, we live in a 'smoke free zone' so no yule log to be lit, but candles a plenty!
Sadly, can't get to Stonehenge but one day I will!0 -

I want to get to Stonehenge one day too, for summer solstice. It's definitely on my list!0 -
I'm only about 1 1/2 away from it (if that) - just can't make it. :( Been there a few times but just never for the Solstices.0
