Thanks for the update Tim. I actually believe in the sabotage theory based on the sheer insanity and lunacy contained in some of the posts on this board. I sincerely hope that Eddie calls a bunch of you out from the stage during the show. You deserve what comes to you. STOP THE WHINING! please
I hold the pain, release me!

they didnt get caught after sabotaging the PJ20 sale...i really doubt they will catch these imaginary people.

Yes they can. By checking out the IP addy's hitting the site. They could check out the logs in their data base what happen. But it would take time to investigate. But, it can be done.

Seeing that we can't buy 10club tickets in the 10club store anymore & now problems with CrowdSurge, all hope is lost. I think Pearl Jam should just do their 10club ticket sales with Ticketmaster. *jumps for cover.

    But it's true.
If they were that smart to hack & sabotage it, im sure they were smart enough to cover their tracks by at the very least spoofing their IP address or using a botnet.

Thanks for showing us that you don't have balls to take the responsibility and give an apology . Sabotage? C'mon, do you think we are kids?

    Ridiculous.

A lot of people on this board do act really childish :(

I don't care about fans acting childish, I care about a company that I pay money for and I keep getting nothing instead.

I've spent two days in front of screen, I changed my plans and I expected to hear even a sincere SORRY. But they failed even with their honor.

  • Happy that for an another reason I had to use the O2 priority sale. This is of course farcical but I have no doubt the band and their staff do this in good faith and are no doubt immensley disappointed how it's turned out.

The sabotage angle is a big statement; I really hope they have some evidence that leads them to mention this, rather than a smokescreen to cover up the failures.

Hope everyone who wants a ticket gets one, and for the Manchester show, bring out the Boss to make up for it :D
  • And for all those who said that posts were being deleted "en masse" from the various angry threads (and I understand why people were being angry), the vast majority were moved to the central thread. They are still there (Ticketing Issues threa) so read them for yourselves.

10C and PJ are not our enemies - they are like the friend we often fall out with (I got arrested once for punching my best friend in his big-fat-stupid face) but to this day we are still best friends. Take the 10C explanation (tho not apology) for what it is - an explanation-of-sorts. The 'of sorts' I'm sure will be for legal reasons.

As for 10C members now being part of the 'general sale' ... well, that doesn't sound like the PJ way to me. Who knows? Perhaps a special reward/treat for 10C members (in Europe ;) ) will come this way ...

No smarts needed here. It's pretty simple to write a script that looks for changes in the text or size of a web page... or one that look for the page code for the "buy" button. It would just reload the webpage, check for some key element, then reload again... until the key was found and alert the operator.
  • Ten Club,

Thank you for doing everything within your power to encourage me to stop pissing money away on this pointless membership. I've been in since 94 or 95 and I've always found an excuse to renew, even when I went 6 years without the chance to see Pearl Jam live. Over the past few years, it has become clear to me that the band's principle's and priorities have changed. Yet, I never thought I'd see this level of blatant disregard exhibit by anyone of its team. You don't deserve my money or my inclusion. You don't deserve that of many fans who will continue to pay for you're horrible treatment and disrespect towards them, either. I can understand why so many will not be able to walk away after all these years, but I feel bad that they will continue to deal with such disdainful and parasitic treatment from those running Ten Club. You deserve better.

Ten Club and Tim especially should be absolutely ashamed of themselves. Not just for how they've treated us as customers, but as people and fellow fans. It's shame the band will stand by them. Nothing here will change and nothing will be done to make-up for this massive fuck-up that has been terribly mishandled on every level.

Come 4 January, I'll no longer be a Ten Club member and I'm actually feeling good about the fact.

    How fucked up is that?

    Thanks, Ten Club.

    Sabotage comes from WITHIN.

    Ed "found" Boom while surfing?

...isn't it just a little too convenient that Boom, not only surfs the same remote Hawaii areas, BUT also happens to play keys - the only instrument the band could use while touring? He just happened to be discovered? Maybe he was planted.

...isn't it a little interesting that the pre-sales have been having problems only since he joined almost 10 years ago?

And anyone notice in 2002 that he bought 10,000 shares of ticketmaster? ...maybe he's helping the enemy. ...it's an inside job, today.

Not fucked up at all. Just common sense. We will just have to get our tickets elsewhere...and those supercool wristbands they can stick 'em...
  • "No smarts needed" - it's relatively easy to hack (or "sabotage") a website if you know what you're doing. I'd rather believe in an outside (to quote others) "conspiracy" than a PJ/10C/crowdsurge inspired one.

And to quote someone else - maybe it was "Bush" ... after all, do you know what he was doing/where he was yesterday?

If sabotage is the case, should members worry if their personal information was compromised? I'm not talking about membership numbers... more like addresses and credit card info for those that got that far.

No, especially after they accused a member of hacking and threatened to kick him out of the fan club for seeing a buy button THEY had viewable on their web site.

The message board with no more than 200+ members crashed at the same time.

Its is a problem with 10C network infrastructure or database.
There's your answer right there: This message board probably isn't run on the 10club servers. and probably run by a third party.

Sabotage is definitely feasible... i know fuck all and i'm sure a DOS attack on Tenclub supposed "shitty" small network (i wouldn't know if it were good or not) could take it down... and when it comes to Crowdsurge, well i'm guessing they have better servers, which could be taken out by some sort of computer crap too...

Take your blinkers off... These are the interwebs. I wouldn't put it past a disgruntled fan to do this. All the bitches on the boards, anything is possible!
