Bottom line is the Ten Club has to get a better in house system. A bigger and better server "world class" as they said themselves after the Alpine Valley and Canadian pre-sale debacle.
I didn't even try and get tix but I can just imagine the frustration experienced by the faithful yesterday. It is absolutely un-acceptable and avoiding the situation is making it worse.
As far as seniority goes, I believe that it should only come into play after you have purchased tickets. It never has given you front of the line privelages and I don't think it should start now, even though it would be better for me because I have a great number.
And lastly the geographical problem; should you have the chance to buy tickets to your local venue before anyone else? Maybe you should, but this has never been the case, and it can't start now. The last Toronto shows were full of people from all over the globe and people I know who live right downtown that wanted to go couldn't because it was sold out. So let's just accept that PJ are in demand worldwide and that the internet has made it possible to buy tickets anywhere anytime. Well that is of course if you are using a ticketing system that works!0 -

How about we all get Pearl Jam implants in our bodies so we can just walk through security in any venue? We could also use it for online downloads... Really, it would be a very useful solution ;-)Like a cloud dropping rain

Then you can try for tickets in the general sale since no venue is exclusively 10c. Imagine you have to work the night your favorite band is playing in your geographic area, but you couldn't get tickets to another show because geographic restrictions were placed on the tickets sales. Think about how your idea would work for MSG or Philly.Reading England 2006, Manchester England 2009, London England 2010, Manchester 1 2012, EV London 1 20120 -

Personally, I don't like the idea of geographical preference...
As a resident of the southern US, if this was in place, I would NEVER be able to see a show with the chance of getting 10C tix.
I agree with others that staggering the sales would seem to work, thinning out the # of people trying at a given time. But from the posts that I have read, it seems like a lot of people were trying for multiple shows, so I don't know how much the buying would have been thinned out.
I was lucky, I wanted tickets to Amsterdam and I was one of the lucky few who were able to get them  (I did wait to get the email confirmation from CrowdSurge before getting too excited). Do I feel bad that others who wanted to get tickets didn't? Hell yes I do! Would I have been disappointed if I hadn't been so lucky? Absolutely, but it wouldn't have been the end of the world, it just would have meant that I would go to the Caribbean in the summer instead of Europe and hold out hope that PJ would maybe decide to play a show somewhere near Atlanta.
Hopefully everyone who wasn't lucky yesterday will get their chance, it is unfortunate that after the PJ20 fiasco (of which I spent 8 hours on a computer until I got lucky) that this continues to happen. Best of luck to everyone over the next couple of days!"Then the Spirit of God hovered over the water, and God said, Let there be music, and there was Pearl Jam."
Whose idea was it for the word "Lisp" to have an "S" in it?0 -
In my opinion it is now VERY late afternoon and almost evening. Please, put us all out of our miseries!!! I don't want to end up only seeing my favourite band on a festival with a short show (but at least I already got tickets, through general sale I might add, for Werchter
)!!!

Interesting point. So it may not work in all situations, certainly not on a city level, but that's not what I was thinking of - more country- or regional-level. When they haven't played in Scandinavia for so many years, I think it's only fair that Scandinavian fans get the best opportunity to see them when they're in town. I'm talking about an hour or two headstart, that's all.93: Slane

Why are you more entitled to those tickets than someone from China, Japan, India, etc. where they don't tour at all? What if you were spending your gap year in the US? Or studying at at foreign school where a show was going to be played? The extreme competition for tickets is unfortunate, but no fan should be "more equal" than another in their chances for attending.
Put one show on sale each hour and/or use ticketmaster. Problem solved.0 -
Tried to get tickets for Manchester for hours last night. Timed out...timed out..... high demand on webpage etc.
My wife (hipkissjulia) also tried for the same venue with no avail.
No tickets out of 4!!!!!!!!
Please give a decent amount of notice for when tickets become available as we both work and took time off to book yesterday!!!
Thanks for the official thread!0 -
Does anyone actually believe that news will come out soon?
As I'm at work, and can stay connected for at least another couple of hours, after that I need to get in the car and go home which means I wont be able to keep checking for at least an hour.
I guess then it'll be another evening spent with the laptop checking/hoping/praying for some kind of positive informative news.

Just got of the phone with Crowdsurge (again):
- they're aware of the fact general sale is tomorrow morning so they will do anything to restart the ticket sale tonight
- we should be getting an e-mail within an hour or so, as soon as they had approval from the ten club2006 Arnhem - Antwerp - Paris 2007 Nijmegen - Werchter 2009 Rotterdam 2010 Nijmegen - Arras - Werchter 2012 Amsterdam - Werchter - Arras - Berlin 2014 Amsterdam - Berlin - Werchter 2018 Pinkpop - London - Berlin - Werchter - London

Still being superpositive and sending out great karma, but we are coming up on the 24-hour mark from yesterdays pre-sale start. And I haven't really planned on spending another night staring into a computerscreen with no info on it.
I/we know you're all busy and I for one still love you all in ten club, but any chance of an update today?Have fun, walk hard and stay alive.0 -
Oh, quick question:
Imagine we do get through the crowdsurge system and everything is confirmed, do we have to print a confirmation "screen" or is it an e-mailconfrimation that we need to print to pick up tickets (assuming that this will all still happen).
Sorry, but this is my 1st attempt to buy tickets through our fanclub and untill now I haven't been able to understand a single thing that's been going on..........I know I was born and I know that I'll die
