hang in there Euro buddies.
i wouldn't say that... people haven't wasted 6+ hours trying for tix
shit i tried for 7 hours for MSG tix
i agree it's bad... but compared to old it's not bad
but... since crowd surge was supposed to be an improvement... it's bad in multiple ways0 -
First of all it's nice to see some official feedback. The only suggestion or idea I have/had is this: If it is official Ten Club people who update and maintain the Pearl Jam facebook page (or twitter or myspace or google plus and so on) it would have been nice to get an update on the situation that way. Because the Crowdsurge page wasn't that informatative, and here wasn't any better.
I know I contributed as well with a rant, and it was benificial in a carthatic way.Have fun, walk hard and stay alive.0 -
with all due respect, Kat, such disclaimer/reminder of posting rules and "keeping things on a high road" and appropriate behaviour is somewhat ironic after such failure and lack of communication on 10C side.
one thing we can all envy 10C - at least they are making VERY sure to post with cool heads:) if they do post anything at all:)_____________________________

Pretty sure I remember *people* saying this would never happen again... :?
I said it once and I'll say it again...crowdsurge had NO CLUE what they were in for demand wise (they have a whole 4K likes on Facebook!!) . So out of their league....
Best of luck to all Euro dudes and dudettes...feel terrible for you.33...0 -

And I'm saying this even though it will probably hurt my chances at getting tickets but isn't the philosophy of the band and the fan club is that we're all equal? This would give people who can't be on a computer during the presale a shot at tickets and also not waste everybody's time hitting F5 all day. I'd rather see an online version of the "index card" type system put in place and also limit the number of shows people can buy tickets to. Still not an ideal solution but I think it's better than the current one.
My guess is they're going to go with Ticketmaster password presales.
It won't work like you think, everyone would complain about something different. Instead, everyone that did not get MSG lottery tickets would cry that the lottery sucks or is fixed.
Everyone always conveniently forgets the crying and web crashes were only with high demand shows. I'm not denying that this sucks, but that is the truth. NYC, Boston, and Philly will always be like that.
I don't recall any threads last year about not getting tickets to Cleveland or Washington DC. Or the site crashing for them. Or Salt Lake in 09. Or Tampa in 08. Just examples.
They listened about the servers. They tried to move to the ticketing to the Amazon cloud server and it did not work for some techincal reason. They tried to use a ticket agency that obviously sold them that they could handle the traffic and it did not. I'm sure they won't use crowdsurge again. Ticketmaster may be the solution.
No matter what, there is no way to please everyone.
Yep, I agree, no system is ever going to please everyone or stop the bitching. There just aren't enough tickets for everyone to get them for every show they want to go to. I just think a lottery is a better option, imo. I'm curious to hear what other people would like to see happen. I know today is a day for bitching, which I totally understand, but I'd love to hear some possible solutions. What are other bands fan clubs doing that people like?1998 - Noblesville

Hi Kat
I was lucky enough to secure tickets to the shows I wanted yesterday but as you are no doubt aware many Pearl Jam fans didn't and are very angry. I propose the following as a fair and equitable soultion:
Crowdsurge to retrieve a record of all members who were logged on to the Crowdsurge website at 5pm GMT. Cross reference this record with those who were logged in but didn't secure tickets, or had tickets in their basket but did not purchase.
With this list to hand, email those members are offer them tickets to each of the shows. What ever is left can go back into a Pre-sale.
This way you are ensuring those who genuinely were trying to get tickets yesterday are catered for.
Many thanks

Servers don't crash. People don't need to access a web site at a specific time. No need to spend an hour of more refreshing screens. No shopping cart problems. No stress.
Ten Club - please consider this model. It works!

Thank you. This is the only way that ensures every member has the same chance at getting tickets to a given show. How anyone can have a problem with this is beyond me.0 -

PJ20 Alpine Valley Both Nights All Bands/performances - on Vinyl.
Enough made for EVERY 10c member.
Maybe another few Deluxe Blu-rays? This shouldn't be too difficult.
i didn't see anyone but pearl jam while i was in wisconsin... why would i want their performance on vinyl?
pearl jam can make it up to us by getting a ticketing system that works
and when they find a new ticketing system... stress test it before rolling it out to anyone...
i'm sure crowdsurge said they would be fine... should have had them put up a monetary guarantee...
or... perform a test of your own... do a free lottery where everyone that enters will have the chance to win a signed benaroya hall ... 10c members would need to log in and check out within a 15 minute window... tell me that's not a real life stress test?
additionally put only ONE show up for sale at a time0 -

i would love to see this thread stay open for a week so everyone can log their complaints. then see 10C print up the entire thread and present it to the band.
i guarantee you they are clueless to what we have to go through to get tickets.
figure it out!!!0 -
I would like add this to the wishlist before next pre-sale:
Please have the 10C pres-sale at least one week ahead of the Venue VIP presales, Local Promoter VIP presales etc etc AND public sales... This way, if everything f**ks up, you have some time to sort things out.
Thanks...Give a monkey a brain and he'll swear he's the center of the Universe...0 -

That's our promise to you.

That was from six months ago. This time around they outsourced the ticketing to a company that was unprepared for the traffic. Now they've maintained radio silence instead of issuing any sort of statement or apology. Thanks TC for working so hard on this and keeping your promise.0 -
Big Picture: The number of 10c members wanting tickets to most shows far outweighs the number of 10c tickets available.
As TIm has stated before, 10c can not control how many 10c seats they get for each show. The only solution is to go to the DMB model that someone stated earlier, or something similar. So many of us have spent so many hours of work time, etc trying to get tickets. A perfect example is the 4 Phili 2009 shows. If everyone was allowed to only purchase 10c tix to 1 of the shows there would have been alot more happy people.
Things were much calmer when everyone used to mail their 10c ticket requests into the 10c. Surely, a similar process can happen with people sending in their requests through the website, etc.
For everone trying to get Europe tickets...good luck.
For 10c....please keep working on refining the process.
For the band...please play lots of US shows in 2012!"You will be no ones rival"0 -
