  • I agree 100%, all PJ fans should be able to have the experience of this movie and not just the lucky ones that were able to get one during the pre-sale. PJ has always been loyal to their fans so hopefully they will continue to and re-stock the PJ20 deluxe blu ray.
  • just got my blu-ray yesterday and all this talk is making me feel guilty about even opening it...but i'm probably going to. i had considered scoring the regular blu-ray when it comes out, and keep this copy sealed but never plan on really selling it so is their a point to keeping it sealed?

in fact, now that i think of it limited stuff sort of sucks in my opinion. i mean it's cool, but not cool at the sametime in a sense. if i were smart enough to just buy the backpack when i had the chance, i'd much rather be actually rocking it and showing it off rather than keeping it stored away in some bag for decades to never be seen by anyone.

on the flipping subject i hate the bastards, but REALLY hate when concert tickets are flipped WAY more then merch. having said that, i'd like to see more copies released. signed.

    just read this listing
This is the original Blu Ray, purchased through the Ten Club. My husband is an avid collecter, but he was disappointed when his copy arrived and had two very small imperfections in the cardboard case. He can see them through the plastic and has not removed the plastic or touched the wrapping at all

    really.

    :lol::lol::lol::lol::lol:

i do give them credit for selling it for 100 bucks, but really.

*This is not, I repeat, NOT an Epic Message Board Goodbye Post™, though we all know how fun those are. :lol:I'm just disheartened enough to not give a shit about it anymore. Aside from a boot from the show I went to, I'm done with all things PJ20. It went from being ecstatic mirth and celebration to dejection and confusion. It's a damn shame.

You're not alone there. I feel the exact same way. Past the point of caring about it now. Plus, even if it does get restocked, I'll still feel somewhat empty since I know that there's a good chance there'll be another Blu Ray set out in a year's time that could be limited again. And I'll be shut out again. I know this is for another thread but the club badly needs some fixing. And until that happens, I can see history repeating itself again and again and again.

totally agree with you guys....glad I'm not the only one who feels this way

    corporations rule the day

Gotta agree with that. Ever since the first announcement, I felt like PJ20 was just a way to tag stuff and make money. It was a "year long celebration" IF you count buying hoodies and keychains in January part of the "year." It was 2 days, and tours in other countries. The movie was great, and I'm sure the DVDs will be great, but if it was truly a celebration, they would have made enough of the "limited" product so that everyone who wanted to could actually CELEBRATE the 20 years of music! PJ20 the movie was the one thing that EVERYONE could take away from this if they wanted to... well it would have been if they doubled the inventory on them. Not everyone could go to the festival, not everyone lives in Canada or South America... but everyone should be able to watch the movie and the hours of bonus stuff.

That being said, please add my name to the petition.

I would buy it as soon as possible. I missed the boat big time... got sidetracked and when I finally got back around to it, it was out of stock.

No problem. Again, thanks to all you 1st time posters. And as I said before, if there's anyone else out there who hasn't added there name and is reading this, don't be afraid to post and I'll add it. The way I see it, we need a bit of momentum at this point since I'm guessing that if this isn't successful by the year's end then we definitely won't be seeing any more of them. If we see an upsurge in names in the next week or so, they may decide to print another run in time for Christmas. I'm not holding my breath on any of this but it's worth a shot.

Yeah, I wish it was just the complete live versions without statistical analysis. Oh well...

  • I guess the mods want everything related to the limited edition sets in this thread, so even though this has nothing to do with the petition I would just like to respond to Kat's comment from a locked thread.
    The rule is No Flipping.

    Another rule is No Bootlegging.

These things are not up for debate.

Okay, well the band and Ten Club effectively eliminated the need for bootlegging with the official bootleg program did they not?

Well then, if they want to eliminate flipping then they should stop putting out so many ultra limited editions. Seems simple enough to me.

Thumbs up, very true. But careful... don't get this thread locked. They seem to be locking lots of stuff lately.

Kat also said 10's policy was against "flipping" so that everyone can have a chance at getting merch. This makes no sense to me in the context of the current box set situation. If they wanted everyone to have a chance at them, they wouldn't have made them so limited. This isn't a situation of a guy at a merch stand buying all the posters to resale them. This is 10C not producing enough of a very sought after movie set.

looks like about 300 people were able to grab discs 2 and 3 from a torrent site, so the petition may have just shrunk...

but in all seriousness... say even half of those people who stole it were able to buy it via a second pressing, that would have been over $10,000 ($70 x 150) in additional revenue for the movie. not exactly a lot compared to what pj makes on a show or anything, but definitely seems like a profitable business move for 10C.

The fact that this showed up on this thread does offer some sort of encouragement to those of us unlucky enough to have not ordered the Deluxe DVD before they were "SOLD OUT". I don't know the logistics of producing more, but if ~450 of us have signed this petition, there is a lot of money sitting on the table. Hopefully more than enough to warrant making more copies. Why not take our money now and see if it's a profitable or breakeven situation for the band. Then if it isn't, offer refunds. I stated before, I am willing to pay $100 for the the standard Deluxe and even more for the Deluxe Blu Ray. I think that is certainly reasonable and that most everyone else here would agree.
