And honestly, who really cares what people do with the stuff they buy. I personally hate flipping and flippers and all that crap because I am a collector. I like finding rare things and keeping them. But remember, this is america. What people do with the good that they purchase is their own business. People are just pissed because they didnt get something and people bought shit here with the intention to sell it. Remember we live in a capitalist society....this is completely legal to do. And although you may not agree with it, it is everyones american born right to do this. I bet many people on here own businesses. Does any get pissed at them for buying things at a lower price and selling them to make a profit? I didnt think so.

Its I hate flipping and who cares. I dont like that people do it. BUt it would go against the idea of capitalism and the very foundation of what the US is built on to hate on it and to try to stop people from doing it.

If you buy something just to flip it and make a profit, that shouldn't be allowed. If you buy something and down the road decide you don't want it anymore, then I think it's ok to sell it. If it happens to be worth a lot then good for you.

Man I totally understand if he has to sell it, we've all been there at some point.
Just thought it was humorously cheeky to do it here is all:) the raffle idea is really cool and he could potentially make a lot more money for it if he did it like that. Cool idea.
  • dude! don't sell it for less than $1000!!!!

I bet you it would get $1000 or more on ebay... this is a highly desired item that not many of us were lucky enough to get. People pay just-plain-stupid amounts for stuff WAY less than this on ebay--I mean, signed by ALL 5 members? How often do you see that?!

If you do the $20 raffle, you could probably make a lot of money AND donate a lot too. I'd buy a ticket.

Raffle, raffle, raffle. I would buy a ticket(s) too. Also,if you go the ebay, they take something like a 10% commission.

If I were in his/her shoes, i'd ask $1600 and require overnight, insured shipping.

Funniest thing in all the discussion here is that those who appear to have their pitchforks handy, calling for him to put this on ebay would probably be among the bidders on the auction.

    Supply and demand dictates value.

fyi: If you go the raffle way, be VERY careful. A certain popular online payment processer FORBIDS the acceptance of funds for raffle tickets through thier system.

if you get caught, they lock up your account after a warning.

Its in thier terms of service and is considered "gambling". They only allow it SOMETIMES if its directly being paid to a charitable account with thier site--not for individuals who claim to be donating money to charity.

this happened to me not long ago, so trust me. And mine were $5 tickets.
    Makes much more sense...

  • So I looked into a raffle.... that would be illegal where I live unless it was on behalf of a charity, and it required some kind of license... tried to work out some other things but they didn't pan out either.

Sadly, I am resigned to something else.

But I would like to take a second to thank all the self righteous degenerates who made this process that much more difficult.

    Thanks.
