just started a thread about this, figured i would ask in here too....what is the rv situation like here?
how close is the lot to the theater? i'm assuming people will be tailgating there all weekend right? and can we just park it there at the beginning of the weekend and then leave it there till we go home in a couple days?
For those who are driving in to Wisconsin, or flying in and renting a car to drive, you should be aware of seasonal road construction so that you can plan accordingly.
Here are some websites which detail the road construction on Interstate 94 N/S and E/W in the corridor from the southern border with Illinois all the way up to the downtown Milwaukee area. They also include the I-894 loop which is, by the map, just north of the airport.
*BUMP* for everyone starting new threads asking about local info. Everything is here and if it's not then ask away...

Is Brookside a good idea? My wife wants to book my brother and I at the sheraton there, google says 30 min. frm alpine. Any locals think its a good idea?
got a question on the venue guys, looking for tickets and of course a lot of them are back rows and/or edge, i've never been to alpine valley so are the edge seats ok there, no obstruction?
thanks!

hi!
i'm arriving in chicago on friday 02/09 morning but i'd like to do some sightseeing, so leaving on saturday morning seems the best choice. maybe reeeealy early to avoid traffic issues and stuff, 5 or 6 AM? what do you think?
is there anyone here that will drive from or pass by chicago and has a free seat?
or should i take the official PJ20 bus?
I have a couple of questions.
What's the weather like in early September there?
Any info on how backed up traffic gets to and from Alpine for festivals? Thanks.
I am wondering about the weather also. Looks Like it will be a lot cooler than I expected. Tank top n jeans? short sleeves n jeans? 3/4 sleeves n jeans? Hhhmmmmm!?!
There are a few obstructed views at Alpine. Depending on where you're buying tickets from (stubhub) it should tell you if there is an obstructed view or not.
As for weather, I would recommend checking the forecast right before you leave/pack. Wisconsin weather can go from one extreme to the next from day to day. But if I had to guess I would say highs in the low 70s and lows probably in the upper 50s overnight.
Does anyone know what sections are obstructed view? I am going to have to buy tix off of stub hub and don't wan't to get burned with obstructed view seats, any info would be great.
Thanks
