I couldn't make the Boston show so "settled" for a 2-hour trip to catch Eddie in Hartford and boy am I happy I did! It was an amazing show, Ed sounded perfect, told great stories, beautiful theater, etc. It was a wonderful part 2 of my day following the Bruins victory parade earlier that day in Boston! I got pre-sale venue tickets and was in the 13th row next to Fenway Faithful and Youngster (great talking to you!). The highlight for me was "I am Mine" one of my all-time favorite PJ songs; it was perfect for this type of show. Of course the Clarence Clemmons tribute was memorable and touching as well as others have already noted. I too was dismayed by the number of people leaving/returning in the middle of songs. For an intimate performance like this, I cannot understand why people couldn't time their drink/bathroom runs for song breaks. It's disrespectful to the performer and to the audience. Oh, and Glen Hansard was awesome!

If Glen plays Astral Weeks in St. Louis, I'm going to need smelling salts. That is my favorite album of all time. My dream would be for Ed to sing anything off that album, but if I could hear it live at an Ed show by someone else, I would be thrilled.

anyone else notice Glen dropping 'I miss you already' from Smile in during Astral Weeks??

just heard about that now :)

Yep . . . that got a reaction in the section where I was. Very cool !

What else can I say that hasn't already been said. It was an amazing night! Thank you 10C for the awesome seats (orch E row T) For my first Ed solo show it was everything I could have asked for. Much nicer being able to see him a stones throw away instead a homerun's length away (lawn at the meadows, gahh!)

The only sour note for me that nice was that I missed Glen's set waiting in the merch line for 40 minutes to get a poster!!! :( Does anyone know if they even sold out of posters before the end of the show?

There were a whole stack of posters left at the end of the show. They had 2 boxes...looked like they hardly even broke into the 2nd box :|

...probably because it was hideous. I bought one anyway because i get them for every show I attend, but it is a really unappealing design.

Also, what's up with all of the posters smelling so chemically fresh this tour? I don't remember that from prior shows but both posters (hartford and NY1) that I got so far have stunk to high hell.

I love the Hartford poster!!! Bat mobile and I love how the license plate says EdVed as opposed to EdVddr as on the shirts. It did smell horrible tho! My Providence poster didnt smell like that at all. Super fresh ink!!!

Really? the color scheme is ugly, the writing is boring, etc. It won't end up in a frame and on a wall of mine for a looooong time. I'm partial to Klausen's Batman themed poster in '08 by a LOT.

Ink on the License plate shirts smelled really bad too. It goes away after washing once though and they wash nice.
