Obvously it's very overplayed and overhyped, and that can make it seem like the song wasn't that great to begin with. Having not really heard it that frequently for quite a few years now, it's easier to once again appreciate just how brilliant this song really is. 8-)
I got sick of Misty Mtn Hop for a while there.Spectrum 10/27/09; New Orleans JazzFest 5/1/10; Made in America 9/2/12; Phila, PA 10/21/13; Phila, PA 10/22/13; Baltimore Arena 10/27/13; Phila, PA 4/28/16; Phila, PA 4/29/16; Fenway Park 8/7/16; Fenway Park 9/2/18; Asbury Park 9/18/21; Camden 9/14/22; Las Vegas 5/16/24; Las Vegas 5/18/24; Phila, PA 9/7/24; Phila, PA 9/9/24; Baltimore Arena 9/12/24; Pittsburgh 5/16/25; Pittsburgh 5/18/25

Yeah, I must say having not heard it for a while - it was sounding pretty damn majestic running round my turntable this weekend. When I hear it on the radio though, I can't help wishing they were playing a different Led Zep song.Cancel my subscription to the Ressurection

I'm listening to "Jungleland" right now and that is one of Bruce's best songs. That song is perfect, especially with that sax solo by Clarence. I'll have to think of more songs to list.Shows: 6.27.08 Hartford, CT/5.15.10 Hartford, CT/6.18.2011 Hartford, CT (EV Solo)/10.19.13 Brooklyn/10.25.13 Hartford

Agreed - have been loving Jungleland, and that whole album since I was 15 - and 23 years later that song never seems to be anything other than brilliant.
Look forward to hearing some of your perfect choices Chris!Cancel my subscription to the Ressurection

For You is absolutely amazing - a song I only discovered the brilliance of quite late in my Bruce listening career. The version from Hammersmith Odeon is enough to strip the hairs from the back of your neck. Love Brilliant Disguise too - love that whole album - I first saw Bruce live on that tour, one of my first ever big gigs. I think there are tracks on Magic that are going to stand the test of time too - my favourite album of his since Tunnel of Love.
Many perfect Bruce songs - She's the One definitely.... I would probably add The Promised Land, Racing in the Street, and The River to your list too - and probably some more, but those are the first ones that come to mind.Cancel my subscription to the Ressurection

Oops I forgot The River. Greetings is easily my Dave Bruce album. I don't have Magic. Guess I should get it...
RIP Big Man.

Yes so sad.... really hard to imagine the effect that will be having on Bruce and the rest of the band.
Magic is real good - has some great Big Man moments on too. I didn't enjoy Working on a Dream nearly so much, but Magic definitely has some 'magic' in itCancel my subscription to the Ressurection

I love King of Pain - I went through a phase of listening to that song about three times a day, and it lasted several months! Haven't heard it for ages, but it used to be my favorite Police song. Will have to seek that out in the next few daysCancel my subscription to the Ressurection

I first got into the Police when I had the cassette of the 'Every Breath You Take' Singles album, and King of Pain was definitely one of the highlights of that, coming in right at the end. It also had a new version of Don't Stand So Close to Me ('86). Does that make me old??
Btw I totally agree with you about Badlands!Cancel my subscription to the Ressurection
