Perfectly describes a relationship between son, brother, and dad IMO.
"Always remember that there's nothing worth sharing like the love that let us, share our name"
Some great ones, but that is my absolute favorite Avett's line! Totally agree with Do You Realize, too, and for me, Radiohead's Fake Plastic Trees came to mind also.

....there's a lot more but I've had a mind blank!
I love how eclectic tastes on this board run.
GnR & The Smiths in the same list.
If I was to smile and I held out my hand
If I opened it now would you not understand?
I'm encouraged that "Sweet Child O' Mine" is on this list. I'm not a huge G'nR fan these days, but I heard it a couple days ago and man, that song completely holds up. It's an epic for the 80s in the same way Zep and the Who had epic songs in the 60s/70s.
But I'm discouraged that Def Leppard's "Love Bites" is here. I loved DL in that era, but it's hard to listen to some of that stuff now.
I would put about half of Jane's Addiction's early stuff on this list. "Three Days" is a ridiculous song, just a masterpiece of songwriting and performance.
Off the top of my head:
Prince - Let's Go Crazy
Metallica - One
Soundgarden - Jesus Christ Pose
Nine Inch Nails - Hurt
Black Sabbath - War Pigs
Green Day - Jesus of Suburbia
Is it too much to ask for a full-blown Temple of the Dog set? Probably.
Paranoid Android, Radiohead
Better Be Home Soon, Crowded House
House is not a home, Luther Vandross
Kashmir, Led Zeppelin
Night and Day, Ella Fitzgerald
Many more I'll come up with the second I hit submit

and no, its not the rod stewart version
