Had a blast at the MPP shows this weekend! Steam was awesome. Might be my favorite new song.

yeah that song is awesome. had a blast the last 3 shows, so much fun, great sets each night. and to top it all off, came home to find my superball ticket waiting for me!

band is sounding real good right now.

Had a blast. Julius, Rock and Roll, 2001, Divided Sky, Halley's, ROSES, Albuquerque, Suzy.. ahh so many good ones. I liked MPP but the cops were crazy, unfortunately made the lot scene a little less enjoyable. They sounded great though, can't wait for Super Ball. Hope everyone had a great time, and eventually made it home safely.

What is the difference between these two?:

    GA Weekend Pass Price:
    $200.00 plus $11.60 service fee

Glen Close Camping Weekend Pass Price:
    $370.00 plus $16.70 service fee

The website didn't give enough info (or, I just overlooked it.)

Do I get a camping site with the $200 ticket?

from what i understand the extras you get with glenn close camping are seperate festival entrance, private showers/toilets, and you are closer to the venue. not really worth it imo,

glen close definitely does not seem worth it, but there are glen close tickets on phantasy tour and craigslist for less than face, so you can get them cheaper if you are so inclined.

i'm gonna rage the pay per view stream tonight, if you have the cash y'all should too. i want to support these streams because they are a great idea and want to see them continue!

depending on the distance from stage to the camping area, glen close might be worth it if you have the money, probably less sketch factor there. Plumbing in the bathrooms is also a good incentive to get it. I'll be in the regular camping area, probably wishing for plumbing.

Thanks for the replies on Glen Close and General camping, all.

I still have not bought my ticket, as I am still on the fence about plans for that weekend. But, if I do go, I will be rolling solo. Is anyone else going alone? And, if I go alone, am I a loser?

p.s. The reason I am thinking about going alone is because my girlfriend's (she came to Bethel with me) father will be in the middle of his 2 week visit to our place. I think I will simply want to get away and party or a few days.

i've been to quite a few phish shows solo, especially back in the day when i tried to "tour" and they were some of the most fun shows because you meet all kinds of awesome people. and i actually just did MPP 1 solo because my buddy couldn't make it last minute and it was too late to cancel the hotel. granted i met him the next morning for MPP2.

Yes this adds nothing to this thread i'm sorry. I've just never commented in a phish thread and wanted to :?

hahah you should have stood outside for the remainder of the show and listened! Their set last night kicked ass, made me wanna drop everything and head down to GA. Awesome that you're that close. Bet you wouldn't regret it if you went tonight - even if you don't know much of their music.

And as for going solo, thousands of people do it. Honestly sometimes it's even more enjoyable, you meet lots of new friends to hang with, everyone is friendly, and you don't have to be on anyone's schedule but your own. I say do it. You'll meet people no problem.

"and you don't have to be on anyone's schedule but your own." These are the magic words!!! Maybe I'll run into some of the Jamily. Let's have a secret sign. How about everyone walk around and flash the "P" sign--make a circle with your thumb and pointer finger, and hold the other 3 straight--and others will respond with a "J" sign--this takes 2 hands. Maybe that's too complicated.

Anyway, hope to party with some of you. If I go, which it is now very likely, I will definitely wear my "I'm Analog" shirt one day--it fits so well and it is white, which helps with the heat.
