i've been to quite a few phish shows solo, especially back in the day when i tried to "tour" and they were some of the most fun shows because you meet all kinds of awesome people. and i actually just did MPP 1 solo because my buddy couldn't make it last minute and it was too late to cancel the hotel. granted i met him the next morning for MPP2.

hahah you should have stood outside for the remainder of the show and listened! Their set last night kicked ass, made me wanna drop everything and head down to GA. Awesome that you're that close. Bet you wouldn't regret it if you went tonight - even if you don't know much of their music.

And as for going solo, thousands of people do it. Honestly sometimes it's even more enjoyable, you meet lots of new friends to hang with, everyone is friendly, and you don't have to be on anyone's schedule but your own. I say do it. You'll meet people no problem.

"and you don't have to be on anyone's schedule but your own." These are the magic words!!! Maybe I'll run into some of the Jamily. Let's have a secret sign. How about everyone walk around and flash the "P" sign--make a circle with your thumb and pointer finger, and hold the other 3 straight--and others will respond with a "J" sign--this takes 2 hands. Maybe that's too complicated.

Anyway, hope to party with some of you. If I go, which it is now very likely, I will definitely wear my "I'm Analog" shirt one day--it fits so well and it is white, which helps with the heat.

Def down for the PJ meet up! Unfortunately I think the wiffle ball is all booked up at this point. I saw a PJ20 shirt on the lawn at one of the 2 MPP shows, but he was pretty far away or else I would have hollered.

lets do a PJ meet up saturday after the 5K.. we can probably organize it better if they release a grounds map.

don't forget gold bond. that's the only thing I'd consider absolutely essential. :D

Wow great to see this thread is alive and kicking... I need to come here more often.

I hit both shows in Alpharetta. I was in the pit both nights and had a phucking blast. When they opened with dinner and a movie on night 1 I knew I was in for a special night. And that storm on Night 2 was unreal. It was almost surreal. Even though Phish had better shows during their leg 1 run, phretta was pretty sweet in my book. I couldn't make the NC and VA shows due to family issues and pretty bummed about it, especially after seeing the setlists. Opening with harpua in Portsmouth!! Are you kidding me? And "been caught stealing" in Raleigh?!?! Yeah thanks fam :(

But the good news is that I am hitting Superball so life is good. So pumped as this will be my first festy and spending it with some great friends and family. 9 sets of phish... OMG I can't hardly wait!! I haven't had a chance to read all the posts in this thread, but I am down for a meetup!!

Also I am hitting PJ20 as well. I might have an extra tix for both nights as well if any of you are interested. My friend is falling on some real tough finacial problems right now and I doubt he will be able to make it. I also have no place to stay as of right now, so looking to crash somewhere if any of you need a roomate for a couple nights. :D
