    The Mars Volta - Octahedron

Love this album and a cool little package, to boot.

Yes! Phenomenal band. 'Octahedron' is probably their best since the first album. I'm a sucker for white vinyl too, so this was a must-purchase, if a year late. (Glad it's still available)

Oh cool, now I'm really curious! My Dad paid 100 GDR marks for the Blue album back then - a fortune, he got it from someone in Western Germany ... The prices were as insane then as they are with PJ vinyls now  He doesn't listen to vinyl anymore, but he thought his lps would be in good hands with me :D

Yep, good lps were hard to get in the former GDR, not everything was published on their vinyl labels and you had to pay loads of money for those from Western countries.

Spinning Pink Floyd now - very nice so far!

Blue has got to be one of the greatest things ever recorded! If you don't like it at first.... persevere!

So moving - such amazing songs. One of my favourites is 'Little Green' - written by Joni Mitchell for her daughter who she had to give up for adoption as a teenage mother I think.

Funnily enough - I have a little collection of snowglobes (3), and they are sitting on my vinyl case! One local, one from Seattle, and one from..... Greece! A donkey in the snow in Greece - it's kind of funny

If you ever want to concentrate on snowglobes only as well, give me a notice and we can sort out your vinyl collection
