    New as in "newcomer bands", or as in "bands you don't know yet"? Because for the latter, we would need to know what you listen to now, in order to give proper recommendations - and I'm still not sure whether I could come up with something useful. ;)

    The new J Mascis album,Several Shades of Why,is excellent.Same goes for the new album by The Builders and The Butchers,Dead Reckoning.Both are definitely worth a listen.

    The only band I've gotten excited about recently is Bell X1. The lyric that hooked me was "I am not over you, can I get back under?" I caught an acoustic show in Louisville, KY and was blown away!
