I recently discovered Fantastic Negrito - new album just released. Really liking him a lot.

I think he's opening for Chris Cornell on his current tour...
I'm seeing 3 shows in July, so I'll give him a listen!!
Oh is he? Cornell is coming to Victoria BC soon, but I can't justify taking the ferry over there for that. Too bad he's not coming back to Vancouver while he's at it! I'd like to see both acts very much. Saw Cornell a couple years ago, but I don't recall if he had an opener. If he did, I skipped it.

Electric Citizen is a good young band from Cincinnati. I saw them last year and will see them again this August.

this may have been mentioned already, but Black Mountain. Have seen them live twice. Recently they got a shoutout from Dave Grohl and then one from Metallica.

that should help sales a pinch.
    Darwinspeed, all.

The Growlers. I think they've been around for a few years and have an album or two out but been hearing this song recently by them and it's really good and catchy. Also Julian Casablancas produced their latest album.

Superorganism. Been hearing this song on WXPN recently, sounds pretty decent. Reminds me a bit of The Moldy Peaches song from the Juno soundtrack

J Roddy has a new album coming out this year. They fucking rule. Hitting Nashville next weekend and missing them by a week which fucking blows.

I saw them open for Band of Horses last year. Their music didn't really do it for me but they were super nice guys. We talked to them at the merch table after the show.

I may have mentioned these guys before, but Gang of Youths are an Australian band with a very charismatic lead singer. They are superb live. Their lead singer did a solo support of Chris Cornell's last Australian tour.

Not a new band (seems to have formed in 2002?), but new to me: ... And You Will Know Us by the Trail of Dead. <-- Yeah, that's the band name, lol. Anyway, just stumbled upon them today on Spotify, and actually they're very good! And they have several albums, from 2002 to 2014.
