Hmmm...I still don't see a link to the digital download songs. Anyone surprised?

This is not a knock on the 10C, I know how it feels to promise something to customers only to have people above you throw a wrench in the plans.

I got mine today, I figured something for the digital downloads would be included, but there was nothing in there or a prompt when I loaded the discs.

So do these things really sound any different? I'm not ready to hand over the money yet until I have a good reason. I only bought Ten because O'brien remixed it. I've heard sound clips, but can't really tell what kind of treatment any remastering may have done.

I can tell a difference on some songs, but on others I hear no difference, and I was listening with audiophile headphones on. I'm not always good at spotting differences though. Like on The Beatles and Stones re-releases I had a hard time hearing the difference. Except for on the Stones albums where the original CD versions had been released at the wrong speed. Even if they weren't that much different I thought this box was worth it for the Bonus Tracks, like the alternate version of Corduroy which I didn't have, and the Orpheum concert. I haven't gone through and compared all the songs, but I noticed that Go sounded much clearer on this version, and the guitar sounded better on Rats.

I swung by my local indie record store Music Millennium in Portland to pick up the new Radiohead on vinyl today and checked to see if they got the SDE box version. One of the clerks said Pearl Jam isn't giving indie record stores a chance to sell this one and lamented that PJ "used to be about supporting the little guys." Yeah, seems odd. I'll probably just buy the albums separately on vinyl next month.

Aren't the reissues a Sony thing?

    I would think so.
But you can only buy the SDE box set through the 10 Club.

below are links to my scans of the front of the boxes. i posted this in the "lost dogs" section for another user, because i am trying to trade my sets for ones that include small--or at last resort, medium--t-shirts; it seems all packages only have xl-size shirts.

    vs.

    vitalogy
i have witnessed some performances. i have soaked up a lot of memories.

I opened mine JV130312, I didn't get the individual ones like those scans above, I got the Vs/Vitalogy Deluxe CD Box. It's pretty cool but nothing too special. The box itself you've probably seen, black with the Vs cover on one side and the Vitalogy cover on the other, then inside the two studio albums are replicas of the vinyl packaging, I haven't looked to see if they are the exact same. Looks to be the same liner notes and pictures. Live At The Orpheum has the same type of packaging, the cover is a picture of the Orpheum with Pearl Jam and Mudhoney on the marquee, it has a booklet but doesn't really have any liner notes, just pictures from the performance.

Thanks. That's the same one I ordered and am waiting on. I was very curious to see how the t-shirts were...

Just picked up the Vitalogy CD box with shirt. It was on sale for $19.99 at Best Buy. I would pay $19.99 for just the shirt..All black gold lettering..fits nicely..happy with it..and got the CD too. Made in Hondurus.
