LOL. The funny thing is she might have thought it that night but, now, if I made her the offer to do the same thing you did, she'd jump on the chance to do it. She's a convert now.

Her friends ended up blowing us off on that Sunday (which was why no Mansfield I for me) and she was just as angry as I was. The first words out of her mouth were, "I can't believe we missed Pearl Jam last night for this."

Yep, this ones a keeper.

this is why i always hang out with fellow jammmers. i love being able to tell my husband of different friends who see even more shows than me, etc....works like a charm.

well that and he accompanies me for some and is basically an understanding man, who yes....is a fellow musician with excellent taste in music, even if he doesn't totally embrace/get my pearl jam obsession. all you can ask/hope for eh.....mutual respect for your passions and loves....:D

Try this one. Had to trade a Barry Manilow concert in order for her to go with me. It was well worth it me. She thought it was OK and now has given me the green light to go with devoted fans. Great outcome.

Honestly, I don't know what to tell you. if these are the girls you go for, then it's your own problem. when I was in high school and college, all my guy friends would constantly tell me how cool I was and how I had such great taste in music and movies and everything and say "I don't know why you don't have a boyfriend."these same guys would date anyone who was blond and wore belly shirts. boys like dumb girls who don't know about anything other than manicures and what's in People Magazine.

If a girl doesn't like pearl jam she should at least have some other interest that you can relate to on that level and that makes her interesting. Otherwise, they don't deserve to be with someone. I find it's the most boring on earth who have the most active love lives, probably because they're non controversial.

Um because even though i love the band there are other things out their that make us click. We do alot of backpacking a kayaking which is hard to find in a female. Nickelback is embarrassing though:)

plus it's not just about loving the band, it's like being a certain type of person. I can't explain it. I'm saying you have to be with someone who loves pearl jam, but what are THEIR passions, what makes THEM interesting to you? and conversely, does your passion for PJ inspire THEM? Do they love that about you? that's what I'm talking about...many people are just boring and none of this applies, yet people still date them...beyond my understanding.

Aaaahhhhhhhhhhhhh, your list made me shudder!! I can proudly say that I would answer NO to ALL of those!

I know the guys here say it's hard to find PJ chicks/chicks with good taste in music, but as one, I feel like it's harder the other way around... I've even met some guys lately who don't listen to ANY music at ALL. Someone please tell me how one could go through life without feeling the passion of at lease SOME kind of music????? I literally need it to stay alive!

Absolutely. I don't have to say anything... let the other nuts do the talking and I can roll my eyes behind their back and say 'oh my god they're seriously obsessed... never shut up about PJ' and then when he turns around I'm grinning smugly to myself

and then when we leave he'll ask me questions and I say 'oh must we REALLY talk about PJ? I'm sick of hearing it all night' so of course this form of 'playing hard to get' makes him way more interested. He absolutely LOVES the into the wild cd and he asks me to put it on so of course I always do but kinda say 'oh shouldn't we listen to Bruce or something instead'? and he'll look at me and go 'please' and I 'give in' so he thinks he's got his way. Don't ya just love mind games?
