Definitely gonna miss Andy, he was a great clutch pitcher and a very underrated Yankee. Hard to get mad at the guy for retiring, he's given the organization a hell of a lot.

Still, I'd be lying if I said I wasn't very worried about the starting rotation.

I remember seeing his first win in person on June 7, 1995 against Oakland. He beat Steve Ontiveros and I had free tickets due to a promotion with the Daily News. Also the same year, I saw the debuts of Pulsipher and Isringhausen with the Mets.

    Damn.

Well Andy was great for the yankees. Easily one of the top 10 best starting pitchers to be a real yankee.

Weren't those Met pitchers suppose to be stars :?

After getting hammered & not lasting 3 innings in Game 1 in 96, Pettitte pitched shutout ball for 8 1/3 innings beating Smoltz 1-0 in game 5. Also making the play of the game throwing out Smoltz at 3 base 8-) . I remember that like it was yesterday, made it possible for me to be at the clincher the next night  . Andy will be missed  .
So, What you Giving ?........ (Thanks Speedy, Alesek, & Arq+friends)

Sad day. Happy for Pettitte, his great career and that I got to watch it all but wish he was coming back for this year. Lot's of incredble memories. I haven't had a chance to being reading some of the posts on Yankees sites that I am sure will bring back even more memories. What a greaet career.

FUCK AND YES!!!! Just got myself a sunday ticket package!

How much did they charge for it?

$330 a ticket after fees, got 2. 15 games. Section 411, shitty seats but finally back in the building with a package. So excited.

That's at least two Sunday night games. I know the game against Texas will be that and I'm sure the Sunday games against the Red Sox will be prime time.

Yeah, I know the Rangers game is 8 and so is one of the Boston games as of right now. Assume at least one of the Mets or other Boston game will be at 8 also, maybe one of the Tampa games. I am just excited to have a package again and get to at least 10 games this year, not going to make all 15, I am sure.
