Yep... Strange innings this, because most of the Aussies looked good. Clarke the best I can remember him. But all just gets starts and out....Sydney 11/02/2003

You better get down there early to get the most out of that box.condescending and sarcastic since 19800 -
Yep, you're right. I wonder what time it opens. If I wasn't in a box I wouldn't go at all. Never been in one before. Hopefully they make lunch so they can at least put something on for me....

As they said in commentary, they said it was a tactical challenge. The commentators said (and these commentators included Grieg and Nicholas so not just bias Aussies) he went down to Prior and said 'did you hear it? is it faint enough?
I don't think he should have walked, but he shouldn't have challenged. He would have known he hit it. No doubt in my mind. And just more luck that has gone England's way in the last few years.
As for Hughes if you look at his reaction, he got the ball in less that half a second from the bat to his hands. He went to put his hands in the air like
'oh that was close' and someone
(probably Clarke) said 'I think you got it'
Then Hughes was like, 'maybe I have, yeah'
As for Bell, he isn't a cheat, but he cheated the system.
ive got to say bulls to this...i really dont think bell knew he hit it ....
also hughes went up going wow that was close...no time for clarke to say he got him. his face said it all..then the huddle ...
but what a kicking this test has been ...we have shown you how to bat to bowl and to field..even worse side then with ponting gone..clarke didnt show anyone he was captain ...stand there being quiet..even johnson over ruled him when asked to come over the wicket..(yes i know its down to the bowler mostly)..
but to get 600 runs and then you limp to 200,,
glad we lost the toss..<img src="http://i740.photobucket.com/albums/xx46/tremors25/thefixerthrilla1.gif" align="left">

Are there anymore records for England to break?0 -
Lets see records???
First English side to win with only 50% born in England
Thats the only thing I can come up with.
Outplayed.... But I tell ya what. I said Swann wouldn't have a good tour... (personally of course its good taking back the ashes)Sydney 11/02/2003

Swann is averaging 42 with the ball Of the top line bowlers for both teams, only Hilfenahaus is worse. But we weren't parading him as the best in the world. Even Johnson is averaging less than he.
I've bagged Swann out all series, but he still is a great bowler.
Anderson will jump up spots in the icc ranking. He should prob be at 2 behind Steyne.
Tremlett is amazing and Bresnan is a good find too.Sydney 11/02/2003

again bulls ..what are you on about..swann has bowled how many times in a second innings when spinners do most of there work...oww yeah twice as we have beaten you by a innings 3 times now..
hes the one that just bowled 25 overs going at 2.5..letting the seamers change around at the other end being relentless.you would give your right hand to have him in your team and bowl how he did this tour..
and he can bat a bit .
this is the same wicket you could not take a wicket on all morning.
dont grasp at straws.
can you tell im enjoying this .
nuffingman dont you dare go to bed tonight...i was up until 1.30 am..and tonight is the party<img src="http://i740.photobucket.com/albums/xx46/tremors25/thefixerthrilla1.gif" align="left">

Of course I would have in my team.
But averaging 42.... That stat doesn't lie. And striking at 92....
Honestly, How do you think Swann would rate his tour? I have said Anderson is the best, by a long shot. Tremlett has probably jumped to number 2 bowler of the series. Swanny will be disappointed. And if he takes these 3 wickets tomorrow, it might sweeten things up for him...
Swann has not been as strong as his reputation suggests....Sydney 11/02/2003

I just know this gloating by the English will be rewarded by us being bitten in the arse in a few years.
As the tickets are free I'm going to suggest to my daughter to go along as she and her boyfriend are in Sydney at this moment. She won't have a fuckin' clue but at least she can say she was there.0 -
