If I see a show in an amphitheater, I'm going to get lawn seats. The lawn is fun to party with your friends and your all together to rock out. Who's getting lawn seats next time PJ is at the Dodge?
    Shows: 6.27.08 Hartford, CT/5.15.10 Hartford, CT/6.18.2011 Hartford, CT (EV Solo)/10.19.13 Brooklyn/10.25.13 Hartford

I will if I don't get 10c tickets. My 10c number has yielded kick-ass tickets for me in Hartford the last 3 times (06, 08, 10). They tend to F me at the Tweeter Center/Great Woods for my 10c tickets, so I always love going lawn there. Going green, we'll call it.

I wasn't a member in 08 but I'll probably try to get 10C tickets first. 06 sounds like a good show. I really wanted to go to that show but had no one to go with. I still regret not going to that show because they played Sleight of Hand. I had my chance to hear it and I didn't!

06 really wasn't all that great. SOH was nice, and I'm Open for the first time was cool. But it wasn't all that fantastic. Might be my least favorite of my 18 shows. The seats were awesome, however. 15 rows up Stone side. Can't really beat that.

  • ebay pre-fanclub is my lateness to the party that is this wonderful fanclub
wanted to go, tix sell out thru TM in like 10 secs so i was left to get gouged

Lawn seats? No thanks. I want to see the show. Not just hear it from a distance. If i wanted to hear it from a distance, i'd just party in parking lot and save a shit-ton of money...But thats just my preference. And do not underestimate the party that is the good seats. I dont think you could "feel" the energy that is the awesomeness of the fan club from the lawn. Just sayin....Betterman Mansfield 08...everyone pounding on the seats during the long ass pause...Ed staring in amazement....I'm not sure the people in the lawn even knew what the hell was going on there....And not to mention, your only saving what...$20 to sit in the lawn?? I'll sport ya $20 Newch for the upgrade...for real. You havent been in a seat for a PJ show yet (right???). upgrade kiddo!!

My fanclub # is behind many of you on here...but my seats ALWAYS kick ass. Never been in the second tier in an arena. Never been anything less than equivalent to Sec. 6/7/8 at Mansfield. Floor seats for both Boston and Hartford this year.

    end rant
sorry...work is being a huge bitch today...had to take it out on someone 8-)

I've seen them indoors and outdoors. I had great seats for my number this year; section 117, row C (first row), seats 3 and 4. I was pretty much on the floor. The worst part was...I saw Fenway laughing it up with Dissidentman (I knew it was him by the hat). If I had know that I would've gone over and said hi. But I still had an awesome time this year and in 08 on the lawn.

We can agree that it's going to be a great party tailgating before the next PJ show. Get the crew together.

Its even worse when they refer to that song as "Hearts and Thoughts". That bothers me soooo much.

Also, I don't necessarily agree with Ed's political beliefs, but I also think we should be quiet when he talks about stuff. It also bothers me those kids that say "Shut the hell up and play songs!" when Ed's riffing about something. The worst was during the end of Come Back, Mansfield I 08. On the boot, the song ends about the 4 minute mark and the last three minutes are Ed talking about the recruiting stations in the venue. You can distinctly hear people saying "Shut the hell up and play songs."

At least they know the chorus. It's like how people refer to Baba O'Reily as "Teenage Wasteland". That makes me mad. They're not music addicts like us.

I'll have to listen to that again. There was a lot of talking on the 2003 US tour, leg 1. I think the Nassau show is one of them that comes mind after Bu$hleaguer. It's a good show, too.

  • If they want to heckle the band, go see CAKE perform live. They actually live for the hecklers. They'll take 10-15 minutes in between songs, telling jokes, giving away a tree, whatever. They welcome the hecklers.

  • reading about the interview on the Sirius PJ Radio yesterday (see Grunge Report article regarding the same) http://grungereport.net/?p=1366 sounds like we may not get a PJ Tour in 2011. Ed says they'll be doing "new" and "different" things this year. Maybe that means another Ed solo tour (in the states). Maybe that means something will get released from the vault. Maybe that means we will be getting a PJ tour and they'll be playing some "different" tunes than usual. My vote for obscurities: Hitchhiker, Falling Down, Devil Doll, Breath, Who You Are...more to come. Hows bout you guys? Vote for obscure PJ songs??

That's my jam right there. Yes please on Hitchhiker.

Honestly, it really makes no difference to me if we get an EV show or PJ show. We will get something, that's for sure. Too much money to be made in this area of the country.

I just know 2011 is starting off good with the Live on Ten Legs release. Proud that I'm getting a new PJ vinyl with that. Great to start the new year off with that. Also the Vs. and Vitalogy re-issues coming out and it looks like the Orpheum show will be included on one of those.
