My fiance' and I have done most of the planning together, except for creating the website and choosing her wedding gown....I let her do that!
My fiance' has been stresing about some of the pending details, so I use that as motivation to get everything sorted out as far in advance as possible!
I will try to post an image of our invite! After a week or two of calm, I'm starting to stress a bit again... we really need to get the invites out lol... although they ARE designed... just need to print em, cut em and post em! We've reserved next week for it... although we do that every week. At least I've been saving a bit of money on the budget recently though.

Most of our wedding is sorted. In fact, the only things left to do are:
Wedding rings
Suits
Ordering flowers
Making invites and getting them out
Ordering bridesmaid dresses
Making some table decorations

It's so nice to pop in here and read the wedding stuff. Didn't do the big wedding thing so I'm enjoying it vicariously through this thread (and someone at work who is getting married next summer).<a href="http://s952.photobucket.com/albums/ae8/catkinson_2009/?action=view¤t=domo.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i952.photobucket.com/albums/ae8/catkinson_2009/domo.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>0

Married on Elvis' birthday in 1972. (Did not know it was his birthday at the time.) Still having fun.
We did not take part in any of the planning. I didn't even really enjoy the ceremony.
Relax. Enjoy.Hold On0 -

We got some stuff for trial invites last weekend (calligraphy pen, stamp, recycled paper etc) so i'll get a few made, choose a favourite and cost them up over the next week or soBeen to this many PJ shows: Reading 2006 London 2007 Manchester & London 2009 Dublin, Belfast, London, Nijmegen & Berlin 2010 Manchester 1 & Manchester 2 2012...

MY DRESS IS NEARLY THEREoh the excitement is killing me lol, it will be in the shop by the end of the week apparently so I might pop in some day at lunch next week to have a look and say hi
We've got half the invites printed... getting there!
Our venue are brilliant... I love them! I hope they're not going into receivership or anything cos they're being so helpful and great with everything. They've now agreed to swap the starters for evening food (cos we already have a soup course anyway). The Astoria??? Orgazmic!

Why would they go into receivership? :?
When the dress gets to the shop, will you be having another fitting? When will the dress actually leave the shop and into your grubby mitts?
Some of my jewellery arrived last night, once again (and I don't know how) I've got a complete match with my dress! My hair comb matches perfectly!
I'm unsure about my earrings though :(Been to this many PJ shows: Reading 2006 London 2007 Manchester & London 2009 Dublin, Belfast, London, Nijmegen & Berlin 2010 Manchester 1 & Manchester 2 2012...

I'll be trying it on Thursday (have my appointment) and then I don't really know what happens, think most people have a fitting about 6 weeks before the wedding for the final alterations... but I've never done this before so not really sure.
I was 'kinda' joking about the receivership thing... cos everywhere seems to be closing these days so it's hard not to be paranoid about places you've paid a LOT of money to for deposits and all that.
I've agreed to let my dad go ahead and book whatever car he wantssince he keeps bringing it up so it seems to be important to him lol.

but can't really justify the £200 price tag
I have been super brilliant today though... we have a photography budget of 500 euro... which is absolutely fuck all. The better photographers average around 2000 in their quotes. We were quoted 500 by a couple of places for a basic package but their photos are shite. Last night I simply emailed all the top photographers and complimented them on their portfolio and said we have a budget of 500 and could they do anything... one of them said yes and now we've got an appointment to meet himhe's one of Irelands top photographers and he's brilliant. So even if he only hangs around for a couple of hours we can ask everyone to take plenty of pics but at least we'll have several top class pics though
so I'm well chuffed... I deserve a cup of tea for that!

You definitely deserve a cup of tea ... as do I as I've booked my flights and hotel
(well Jennytree booked the hotel but that still counts right?
) so am now officially coming to your wedding whether you like it or not

My partner and I got married in 2009 after being with each other for 10 years. We decided to knick off overseas to Fiji though because everything is sooooo expensive. For the venue (big chapel overlooking the sea) the flowers (big bouquet of purple frangapanis and other decos), the photographer, the cake, air fares and accomadation turned out to be less expensive than having what we wanted at home!!!! It's just so expensive hey? Congrats by the way!!!
How long have u guys been together?
