    An inital offer will be made to Lee within 72 hours and they are not going to be as agressive as they were with CC.

    i would think. he's 4 years older than CC. I would go 4 years 15mill per.

    4 years 15 is not going to come close to getting it done. They wont make that as an inital offer, that is less than AJ.

    The thing is, if you look at age, sure he is older but if you look at innings

    CC= 30 years old, 2,1217 career innings
    Roy Halladay= 33 years old, 2,297 career innings
    Cliff Lee= 32 years old, 1,409 career innings.

    I think it's a bit misleading saying they are not going to go as hard, the Yankees didnt really give CC another option, I think the Yanks will negotiate more with Lee and try and get the best deal possible but I do think they get him on a very big deal.

    I would prefer the yankees front office ask AJ nicely if he wouldnt mind giving a cash tip out of his pocket to Cliff Lee every time he pitches if he becomes a Yankee. Maybe like a $500,000 tip each time he starts.

    so is the comment on the front page of baseball reference. Jeter was a two last year but now he's a three.

    that's pretty quick for his baseball reference page. Haha, good catch. Jeter is my favorite player ever but this award is comical.

    Even more comical was hearing the Sterling on sports segment on WCBS-AM tonight, defending the pick. Obviously .989 and six errors are good defensive numbers but other guys have more because they get to more ground balls.

    These awards are like lineman going to the Pro Bowl.

    Almost as ridiculous as Abreu winning it, basically because he won the Home Run Derby. :lol:
