Yes, but as this book articulates, you cannot have Southern Pride without at least acknowledging that some of that "pride" emenates from the prejudice (or the effects of it) that takes/took place at Ole Miss.

Actually i agree with you, i'm from N.Y., but i married a southern girl and this is always her and her families response, they don't think there's any such thing as southern racism. <-- true story.

Really?!?! Haha, that cracks me up. Just because they weren't alive during the Civil Rights era (I'm guessing here), or maybe didn't support the fact that the KKK has had rally's on Ole Miss campus in '82 and '09, doesn't mean that the fact that those activities took place there hasn't had an effect on the social landscape of Ole Miss. Maybe you could ask them this question if you were a black quarterback who had a choice between Ole Miss, and some team that is their contemporary on-field equal who would they play for? Coaches have long argued that they can't get a wealth of black players at Mississippi, because the kids know what it's like on that campus. It has gotten better, but it's still there. At the same time there is a such thing as northern racism they are just better at hiding it.

You know Eli will want to be back out on the field today. Nothing will stop him from playing.

The new stadium looks nice. I'd like to make it down there sometime this season but I know tickets are going to be at an insane price right now.

Great timing as my 7 year old was named as the QB on his pee-wee team... The Mrs. was dubious of the whole thing and the back cover of the Post did not help :?

My son thought it was awesome
