I don't have a problem with other people having it; I don't really have a problem with anyone having any tattoo, just personally it's not my favorite design, and I would much rather come up with my own design, which I've been in the process of doing for the past year or so, which is basically a way to make sure that my tattoo will be unique, and that it will have meaning to me on multiple levels. That being said, it's your body, do what you want with it and do what makes you happy.

I have a stickman tat and I love it. No regrets. The first time I saw that logo when I was in college I said that if I ever got a tattoo that would be it. Many, many years later when i actually went to get the tattoo I still felt the same about it. :)

personally it's my least favorite pearl jam logo... idk something about it i just don't care for too too much... i think people's problem w/ stickman tats are that almost all PJ tatoos are of the stickman so it's kind of boring and tiring... at least that's how I see it, but if you like it, who are we to judge.

You're getting a permanent mark on your body. That should mean something to you and noone else. So who gives a flying f*** what ppl think?!

To me the stickman represents PJ from their very beginning, their first single, all the good times that I've had with them, one really bad experience that I had with them and how both the good times and the bad has shaped me through the years. The fact that others have it, just means that we're all a part of the "jammily" and that we can relate to eachother.

Getting mine done on tuesday and I will still love it and think back on my youth when I'm 60.

I have two tats already, my third is going to be of the Pearl Jam stickman. With my own twist though. Personally I think tattoos should mean something, I have a friend who got a butterfly inked on her calf because she likes butterflies, no other reason than that. Cool with me, it's her body.

Back to my stickman tat, my sister was killed last year by a drunk driver, since music has always been a big part of my life, and an even bigger part now in my ongoing grieving/healing process I'm going to get the stickman with wings and a halo with my sister's initials. Hoping to get it done by the end of summer when funds allow.

To the original poster, get whatever you want wherever you want, if anyone has a problem with it F-em!

I'm really sorry to hear about your sister. The tat in remembrance of her is a great idea.

It's a cool little design... and seriously, what does it matter.
    ...
The thing I would have about it... the future.
I mean, I'm sure getting that 'Poison' logo tattooed on your body sounded fuckin' Rad in 1985... but... it didn't wear too well. And we never know what the future holds in store. I mean... there was a time when Rod Stewart and Paul McCartney were cool. Sure, the music is still good... but these guys are kinda tools, now. I'm not saying Eddie Vedder is going to be a dick like McCartney... but, remember, all your past greatness can be lost in a moment. If you don't believe me... ask Bill Buckner.

That reminds me...I gotta get this Limp Bizkit tattoo removed.

I used the surfboard logo as an inspiration for mine. Instead of "Pearl Jam " it says "Adam - Rhiannon". Then my wife wanted a 3rd child so I had to add "Shannon" above it.

the problem is that it is uninspired, uncreative, and trashy.

I think the problem with PJ tattoos it that they were never really a "logo" band. The stickman is the most recognizable symbol for them because, back in 1992, it was on the cover of the Alive single and it was on all of the most popular PJ t-shirts. But the stickman himself has never appeared on an album cover. Take a band like Iron Maiden for example... their faithful mascot "Eddie" has been on the cover of every album, single, t-shirt, poster or any kind of Maiden merchandise. He is literally the face of the band, and there's been hundreds of different versions of him. So to get a tattoo of "Eddie" is quite easy to do without the worry of having the same tattoo as every other fan. Unfortunately, PJ doesn't have that kind of variety with it's symbols or logos.
