    There's an interesting backstory to that game that if you read "Last Night of the Yankee Dynasty" you would know. Basically losing that game saved Enrique Wilson's life because if they would have won Wilson would have stuck around New York a little longer and been on Flight 587, the one that crashed minutes after takeoff on November 12 - eight days after Game 7.

    yea i forgot about that. but in 2005 if the yankees advance pass detroit. cory lidle probably doesn't die in the plane crash.

    yea i forgot about that. but in 2005 if the yankees advance pass detroit. cory lidle probably doesn't die in the plane crash.

    except one problem with that. they played in anaheim that year and lidle was in the National League that season.
