I also read the Angels could be shedding some of their veterans.

who do you think the yanks would be interested in? Bringing back matsui would be pretty funny , abreu?

Scratch abreu, he's under contract next year.

I guess Matsui, though that'd be ironic since all he can do is probably DH and they wanted to free it up for a rotating DH, at least before signing Nick Johnson.

Yeah, could work but any offensive player they get would be strictly a dh at this point. Matsui is a thought, doubt it will happen though.

Neily, I don't think the cyst is a huge deal. I think I read it has been nagging him since 2006. I would imagine girardi sees that they have a 8 game lead in the loss column for the playoffs and does not want to push him too much.

It's really insane that Singleton has mispronounced the middle part of Choos name for 4 days straight. I can't believe someone from YES has not corrected him.

Was just about to ask if the love affair with Cervelli was over yet? Guess not. It's pretty crazy how lucky he gets.

It's great to see arod hitting while this is going on. If I remember correctly, he slumped a bit on 499. Great approach at the plate.

He went eight games without homering then from 7/26-8/3/07. During those games, he was 3-for-29 with three RBI and five strikeouts. And in that span, the Yankees split the eight games and scored 57 runs.

I really want him to hit 600 just cause I am so fucking sick of hearing about it. They are no longer the Yankees, they are the Alex & Friends team. he could go 5-5 with 5 triples and 10 RBI's, and all you;d hear is how he failed 5 times to hit # 600. Liek when Tex was called out to end the game over the weekend. Instead of the yankees being robbed of having a chance to comeback and tie or win the game, it was Alex being robbed of a chance to hit 600
