    Hi Laddie,

I assume this is the poster?

If you take a tape-measure, and measure the image, if you're ok with the opening of the matting being 25" high, and 19" wide (or smaller) then it's all good for the bracket price of $159 that we're now in.

If you need a matting opening larger than 19x25, then to make the opening taller would be $22.

    :)

That's the one indeed. I'll do the measuring soon, though it doesn't look like there's as much blank space as in the DC 03. Also, did you post somewhere that you do not adhere the art in your frames with 2-sided tape? Thanks for the info! Hope to take advantage of this offer soon. I will let you know.

    Hi Laddie,

Indeed, measure and see what you think. If you take like 10 sheets of printer paper, you can cover up all but 19x25 to see how much you see. :)

For the poster, adhesives do not touch the poster. Lets says in 10 years you discover it's worth 1,000... then this poster can be removed completely with nothing stuck to it.

Each poster I treat a little differently, depending on what is visible or how much the matting will end up concealing. But you know those photo corners that hold photos by holding the corners in a pocket? It's similar to that. I have ones which hold the corners, and others which hold it at other areas of the paper-edge. So, the poster is not held in place by adhesives. :)

NOTE: MSG 2 poster (donkey kong) is 19x26, but the whole poster image is 19x25. The MSG 2 poster can be framed for the 19x25 price - though the AMES logo in the lower right will be partially covered/partially shown. If you want to show the whole AMES logo, then the poster is larger than 19x25. If you don't mind the AMES logo being partially covered, then it's in the 19x25 price. :)

When I receive a tube, I'm updating the OP to say "received", so if you're wondering if it arrived, you can check the OP. That means you'll hear from me about choosing colors (for those that wanted to be involved in the color choice) either that day or within a couple of days. :)

A reminder - those who have their posters in hand already, and are confirmed, please go ahead and ship them. Cheers! :)

    Chris,

I just dropped off my 3 posters in 2 different tubes at The UPS Store. The order form is in the larger tube containing 2 posters.

Cool! Will be on the lookout for the 2 tubes. Are they taped together, or being sent as completely separate packages?

you could probably put me down for two
it will depend if I can find 2 prints smaller then 19x25
most PJ prints are larger and I think $122 for the larger size glass is a bit steep

    Hi KDH12,

Do you want me to put you down as "tentative" then? I'll wait until I hear back from you.

And it looks like you're misreading the pricing guide on the OP. If your poster is over 19x25, up to 19x31, it's only $22 more over the bracket price. All frames will have Conservation (UV protectant) Glass.

For those who would like to upgrade the glass from Conservation Glass to Museum Glass (same UV protection, less reflection), and if they'd like Museum Glass in the next size up to 19x31, THAT would be $122, which I assure you for framing in this size with Museum Glass is very reasonable. :)

Here's the poster size info for posters over 19x31:
    Posters larger than 19" x 25", up to 19" x 31": Add $22 to final price bracket
*note: shipping and packaging will be more expensive than the estimates above.

    Posters larger than 19" x 31", up to 27" x 35": Add $69 to final price bracket
*note: shipping and packaging will be more expensive than the estimates above.

    ummm

you can put down as tentive for one maybe two I was talking to someone about splitting shipping so we will see..... would like to get some done so will try to make it happen

and yes I was miss reading the pricing $22 is better then $122

the only thing I do not get is why does the 19" side stay the same in the pricing

wouldn't it make send to increase the size restrictions from 19x25 to 25x31?

however again I was misreading and thinking it meant paper size and not image size :?

That's ok. I'll add you as tentative for 1 for now. :)
If you're comfortable to become confirmed, cool! If not, not worries. :D Tentative is exactly that.

And as far as the sizing:

The glass sizes available are 24x30, 24x36 and 32x40.
The matting for each piece is 2.5" all around. Two sides = 5" to each dimension.
When you deduct 5" from each of those dimensions, you get 19x25, 19x31 and 27x35, which is how I arrived at those three sizes. I promise, it's anything but arbitrary. :D

...and I originally did mean "paper size" but some posters (like DC 2003) are 19x26 or so, but look fine if the matting covers just a little of the solid background solid color.

On the order form I'm having people check off if their poster is larger than 19x25 because of the higher cost. But when I measure in person, if I find the poster would look fine framed in the 19x25 or under size, I'm giving everyone my opinion about being able to keep some posters within the 19x25. Like the MSG 2 poster actually fits within the 19x25 size even though the poster is closer to 26", but the only thing is the Ames logo gets partially shown by going to 19x25, whereas if we go to 19x25.5 or so image opening size, it shows everything.

I want to keep the price as low as possible, and give people all the options for them to make the decisions that are right for them. :D

Let me know if you have questions!
    Chris

An update for the poster framing:

CURRENT TALLY: There are now 50 confirmed!!!

Those who are confirmed, please go ahead and ship them, as it will help me stay ahead of everything, and be able to contact people (except people who are writing "surprise me with your frame recommendations") in a timely fashion.

As of now, here's the list. Any changes to this list (from Tentative to Confirmed to Shipped to Received) will be made on the OP, but I won't be updating the below list... just on the first page as I get updates.

I have room for more, so for those who have been thinking about joining in... I'm ready if you are! :)

If you are on the list as RECEIVED, thanks for being early!

If you are on the list as CONFIRMED & SHIPPED, you'll be hearing from me when they are received.

If you are on the list as CONFIRMED, I'm just waiting to hear from you that you've shipped the posters. If you have them in your possession, please go ahead and ship since we know already that we are in the lowest price bracket. *Note shipping recommendations at the bottom of the OP on the first page. Please package your posters carefully! Also, avoid letting your poster-edges scrape over the surface of the image while curling in a tube.

If you are on the list as TENTATIVE, you have until July 1st to confirm, but of course if you let me know earlier, the easier it is to plan. :)

Here's the order form to print out and include with your posters: http://westendframing.com/pj_poster_fra ... r_form.pdf

Please make sure you're reviewed all of the info on the OP as well as the info on the website:
    Original post: viewtopic.php?f=4&t=134324
    Website: http://westendframing.com/pearl-jam-poster-framing.html

If you are ok with the posters being shipped with the mid-August group, please just write that at the top of the order form. If you prefer the end-of-July group, please note that at the top of the order.

Any questions - you know where to find me! :D

Im trying to hold out for some confirmation from Burwell as I would like to get that one framed.

However, pretty soon Ill have to pull the trigger and find an alternate.

I dont mind if I am the last/one of the last to get framed though.

Gotcha - well as long as I know what were doing and what frame stripe color by July 1st, then I'm ok with a delay in receiving the poster. :) I just need to order everyone's moulding at the same time to get the bulk discount from my supplier, so even if you don't know what poster you're going to get, if you know what color-stripe frame you will want by July 1st then we're still ok. We'll also need to arrange payment by that time too. ...and the flexibility to be in the later shipping group also helps. :D

A bunch of tubes came today by USPS and UPS. OP updated. :D

Those who are newly listed as "received" will get a call from me today or in the next couple of days to discuss colors, etc, unless we've already hammered things out before.

    Thanks! :)

Still waiting on my NOLA print. I could replace it with another if absolute need be but I plan on having my SLC done as well. I want them to match closely as I have a perfect wall for them, above my mantle in the living room! Single guys can do these sorts of tacky things...

I'll be on vacation this coming week, but am going to try to chack funds and hammer out the details on what I want framed right after...hopefully there will be time to get in on the deal...

Please put me down as tenative for one print. I think I found someone who is willing to split shipping to Chicago.

    PM sent regarding details...

Sounds good! If the poster is running late, I can just take the info of which frame you want for all of the posters, and payment info. I can wait on the matting choices, but I need to order frame material on July 2nd. With the SLC and the NOLA frame I'd be recommending the red-strip frame anyway, so that will be easy to figure out with you. We can probably use black top matting and red second matting for both of them if you're trying to be 100% identical. :D
