I saw em at Sasquatch. Incredible. Thought they were damn good when I saw them touring for "Z." They've gotten even better. By far the highlight of the weekend...Also dug Brad/Satchel, She and Him, and LCD Soundsystem.0

Don't know why I haven't joined this thread yet... just busy I guess... I could go on and on about this band. Jim's music (and let's face it, it's a very talented band, but it's essentially the Jim James Experience) has become part of my life, pretty much a daily part, and I can never tire of listening to them, or of going to their shows. I only started listening to them when they were touring with PJ in 2006, and if you include those 4 opening gigs, I've only seen Pearl Jam more times than I've seen MMJ. I was about 8 feet from the stage at their show in Columbia, MD on May 1... such a great time in the pit, and I've met great people just like I have via my love for Pearl Jam. I've got tickets to 4 more MMJ shows this year, and was almost thinking of selling one of them, but eff that!0

Just grabbed tickets this morning for Friday October 15th at the State Theater in Portland, Maine. Any Jacket fans in the Northeast that can't make Petty, Mountain Park, or Terminal 5 should jump on these. It's a Friday night in beautiful scenic Portland.
Public onsale isn't till Friday, but it's general admission and the presale is going on right now. The password is "state"."FF, I've heard the droning about the Sawx being the baby dolls. Yeah, I get it, you guys invented baseball and suffered forever. I get it." -JearlPam09250 -
very much looking forward to outside lands, philly and terminal 5 shows

Carl's releasing a solo album! The opening acts for Terminal 5 have been announced! This is a big day for MMJ fans!

I grabbed them too! I don't know if you have ever been to the State Theatre, but it is a great venue. Its been closed for a few years, but now is completely renovated. I heard the capacity has been downsized as well (around 1500), so it will be a very intimate show. I had the pleasure of seeing Wilco and Interpol there years ago.
Thanks for not broadcasting the presale before hand. I was nervous about getting tickets, but looks like I had no need because there are still presale tickets available. I honestly just don't think many people realize the show is happening because it was just announced Monday. I saw them open for Pearl Jam for both Garden shows in 2006, but have been plagued with bad luck seeing them since then. Can't wait to see them as a headliner!PJ:
2003 Mansfield: July 2
2004 Boston: Sept 28 & 29
2005 Montreal: Sept 15
2006 Boston: May 24 & 25
2008 Hartford: June 27, Mansfield: June 28,
2010 Boston: May 17
2013 Worcester: Oct 15, Hartford: Oct 25,
2016 Hampton: April 18, Raleigh: April 20 (cancelled), Columbia: April 21. Quebec: May 5. Boston (Fenway): August 7
EV Solo: Boston 8/2/08, Boston 6/16/110 -

We should meet up for a beer before the show. So you've never seen these guys headline? Are you hitting any of the other area MMJ shows the next few months? I can't say enough about how amazing these guys are live. Truly an experience."FF, I've heard the droning about the Sawx being the baby dolls. Who's ready to have their faces melted?
Cheers to those attending next week in San Diego and LA.
Studies show that listening to My Morning Jacket actually improves your mood, your health and well-being. Look it up."FF, I've heard the droning about the Sawx being the baby dolls. Yeah, I get it, you guys invented baseball and suffered forever. I get it." -JearlPam09250 -
