That's a classic hardcore, no bells and whistles, rock out setlist! Definitely buying this boot. This set list IS Pearl Jam.

Ed made many mentions of the great crowd, and early in the set said that even though it was the 3rd or 4th show of the tour, the bar was being raised already. Great crowd, it really was. (side not, fuck all the people who said they shouldnt play shows in places like this. Was it a sellout? no, but it was fairly close, and I know people in Chicago and New York and Boston and Philly think they are the only ones who can show PJ a good time, but Columbus no doubt proved tonight that the little guys can rise to the occasion as well.)

    Amen. Great Crowd. Great Set.

Mike didn't seem nervous at all singing or anything. Dead Flowers was a great cover. I love that song and it always makes me think of The Big Lebowski

The other song was probably titled 'My Boy' and Mike said he wrote it about his son. The message I took from it was no matter how terrible things are in the world around us.. thats OK cause your my boy..

Mike is terrific.. Was anybody else hoping that Stone would come out with Mike to do 'Powerless'? That would have ruled!

This was a awesome show for my first one! Opening with Oceans was a surprise that shocked me. But the highlight was Mike playing before BOH something i won't forget ever. I didn't get to hear Immortality but thats ok. I got to hear a bunch of great songs and i came away very happy with a sweet tee and poster.

The energy that came from the band was well awesome to say the least and the music reflected that energy. I felt like this concert was just for Columbus. My summer is over now because of a stupid ass back surgery i'm having on tuesday. But damn guys you made my summer kick ass already and thanks for it.

My only complaint and it is a small one is that a screen would of been nice to see some up close shots of the band. I sat in the upper bowl and while i could see the band it would have been nice to see some close up shots of the guys. But minor detail and it did in no way ruin the night for me again thanks Pearl Jam it was a great fucking show i'm still smiling.
    My butt itches!

Met the band on the cliffs next to Turtle Bay Hilton (Oahu) when they were on their first tour, and had hoped to see 'em live at some point. Almost 20 years later, last night's show was worth the wait.

    Great show last night.

10C# 189*** and we were in the first section lower bowl, about 10-15 rows up. 10C's really hooked me up with great seats the past few shows I've been too. I'd much rather be on the sides than too far back on the floor

    PICS: http://picasaweb.google.com/BMoore09/Pe ... umbus5610#

This was somewhere around my 12th-15th PJ show. I've saw them at the Vic in Chicago, the Spectrum in October, and I gotta say the energy of the crowd and the band here in Columbus was almost equivalent to those. GO was badass, Alone was a treat, Crazy Mary was highlight as well.
Great show, great crowd, great seats. Thanks 10C.

So I guess since I was on the side section that everyone on the floor had a lower 1)C than me? Or do they start on the sides before they go all the way back to the floor?

  • I wanted to hear ALONE so bad and basically had resigned myself that they wouldn't play it. I was thrilled. Whatever happens at Indy tonight is fine by me since they played Alone.

(ok, I'm lying, I'd still love to hear Immortality)

    for the statisticians...

    are the shows...shorter?
They started around 8:50 and ended shortly after 11. Maybe 11:07? Pretty typical in length I think and 27 songs? That may even be slightly above average?

That's about the average over the last few years. People blow this 3 hour thing out of proportion. 26-28 songs and 2 to 2.5 hours is normal.

Looks like a great set though. Would have loved to have been there.

I have to agree with everyone else that this was a hard-core, rockin' show! I especially loved the fact that Nationwide Arena brought up the house lights in the middle of "Alive", and yet the band talked after that song and then did "Yellow Ledbetter" with the house lights up. It was awesome! And that they played "Oceans" and "Spin the Black Circle"!

I also want to say that although I've been a PJ fan since I bought "Ten" on cassette tape when it came out when I was in 8th grade, I unfortunately only came upon 10C this past Monday while looking for setlists. I think that this community is fabulous and I think that knowing all of the great things that PJ does for its fans, and how dedicated all of you are, made the show that much better for me.

The only other time I'd seen PJ was their last Columbus show in 2003 and I have to agree with a previous comment that this show (mostly due to the fans) was 1000000x better! Usually when I go to a concert, I feel like I'm the only one that knows every inflection and "ooh" and "aah" in the song and one of the only ones singing it. I LOVED that EVERYONE did that last night!

Even my husband, who has always never really liked PJ, found new respect for them and their music last night. I'll definitely be taking advantage of my 10C membership for tickets to future shows!

As always great show. They are by far my favorite band and favorite to see in concert.

Alive is always my favorite song and it's more and more amazing every time I seem them perform it.

Great set, thanx for playing a great mix of old and new.

Hearing such an perfect, explosive version of Once, all these years later really blew me away.

And my Ten Club tickets were amazing, by far my best yet.
    Nice shirt.

If you like the old stuff, this might have been a good show for you. First off, they played zero songs from Riot Act, and second, they played eight songs written during Ten. Once, Even Flow, Alive, Black, Oceans, SOLAT, Alone and Ledbetter. Thats the most I've ever seen at a show.
