What if all the 10C members in the South sued them for not playing there for the last 6 years + ????

I have every right to raise questions about how this is run. There has to be a better way to do this. It's not something that will fix itself, in fact, it's getting worse. Either we can say that is unacceptable, or we can just go through the same thing over and over. My time is too important to me to spend six hours doing this again. I'd rather pay ticketmaster to handle the presale.
Agreed. How often does Eddie say that there's "so much power in this room to make change"? Like almost every show. Yeah, he's normally referring to politics, and not everyone is a democrat in the audience. Similarly here, not all people may agree that change is needed, but some do. I got tix and am still upset about the process yesterday. It was clearly the worst experience for me since they went with online sales and I've purchased so many shows online that if my wife calculated the cost, I'd be asking if anyone knew a good divorce attorney (luckily, she doesn't retain accumulated costs over a time)
Also, one other suggestion...the pre-sale rules say 'First come, first serve'. Obviously, that is not true, so my recommendation would be for them to remove that portion of the rules.Fighting childhood obesity...

Sad fact . . . . a lot of 10C members logon using multiple computers . . . .
From the 10C . . . .
• DO NOT LOGIN USING MULTIPLE COMPUTERS!!!!! This creates a bottle neck of web traffic which can result in site failure and loss of ticket order. We can not stress this one enough.
Their are also a lot of 10C members that are scam artists . . . multiple memberships . . . having tickets to a show but trying upgrade their location by saying they don't have 10C tickets. There is a group of gals that always find some willing partner to split a pair of 10C tickets in a better location than their own 10C seats. I just have to laugh at these people . . . pathetic.Post edited by mudhoney_253 on0 -

By adding all these fancy graphics, they created even more chaos than they had previously, and yes it is the responsibility of the 10c to fix this. Hire a tech person that can do the job. Your graphics need to be of a smaller size so the page will load. It is not fair to your fans, people take time off from work , cancel meetings, etc. hoping to get tickets. The band only comes around once a year and with a loving, loyal fan base they owe it to them .
You are part of the problem . . . "two computers up and 3 browsers open". You are a prick!
Two computers/3 web browsers...
He did what he had to do, and got his tickets.

20 dollars is a sacrifice? Seriously?
Whatever flaws this system has, it's wayyyy better than it used to be. Back when you got a MONEY ORDER and mailed in your order & the only way you knew for sure if you got tickets was if your money order didn't get mailed back to you, you were probably good to go... although you couldn't really be that sure until you showed up at the venue & got your tickets. That was in this century, even, when other fan clubs had been on line for years already.
At least this way there's other ways to go about getting seats. Stop whining. I got shut out too & I've been a member for.. well, since you had to mail in a money order. I've never missed out on a show that I really wanted to see."If you're looking for someone to pull you out of that ditch, you're out of luck."0 -

Because that's all they do... Those sites are built for ticket distribution, day in-day out, with all the power behind it. 10C sell a few thousand tickets a few times a year (if we're lucky!). Maybe 10C could have their pre-sales via LiveNation or Ticketmaster like some artists do? Then again... I've had similar problems with presales via Seetickets (but I hate that site!).0 -

Half of these people posting today get on a few times a year to try for presale tickets and then when they get shut out will bitch on these boards. Half of the people complaing have like 7 posts and I can only imagine that the other 6 came from bitching about getting shut out the last time.0 -

I understand where yor coming from, but let's say we're "back in the day" and you wait your 3-4-5 hours in line and you get to the window and the cashier has your tickets in hand but tells you "Sorry, took too long to get your wallet out" back of the line...NEXT
So...you wait in line again, chat up your line neighbors , get to the window, cashiers processing your order and then tells you "oops you ripped my face off" try again, back of the line...NEXT0 -

I am honestly perplexed how anyone can defend this current system of ticketing. I am not bashing the band or the 10C for it, but it is pretty apparent that it is VERY FLAWED. After all, this is a business. They sell goods, we purchase them. If any business' system frustrated its purchasers, the business would be expected to IMPROVE it. It is rule #1 for customer service. We pay for the fan club perks, this is one of them. We also pay for our tickets. People do not have 5+ hours to sit at their computers during a work day! What about people who don't have desk jobs, who cannot reach a computer midday? We spend more time trying to buy tickets than at the actual show itself. That being said, they need to look at alternative methods.
The Grateful Dead had an archaic mail in postage system that never failed. Pre-sales on TM and LiveNation work for other fan clubs. There are ALTERNATIVES. And they should be considered. Their server honestly cannot support their demand for tickets (for certain venues). Also putting MSG 1 and MSG2 on the same day only 3 hours apart was a HUGE mistake. These things need to be better thought out. This is NOT bashing, this is strictly requesting that they relaize this is flawed and make an attempt to make things work more efficiently so no one ever sits there for 3-7 hours to be shut out. Within a half hour we should all know whether a show is sold out or not.0 -
question for the people bashing the system - would you rather have tickets sell out in 2 minutes and you get shut out if your clock is off by 2 minutes? I remember the Borgata tickets on ticketmaster selling out in less than 2 minutes - that was a scam. At least with having to refresh (granted 6 hours is too long) but giving more time is better than no time like ticketmaster sometimes does. I think anytime within an hour is sufficient - but that's just my opinion.0

The family stoners running GDP back in the day managed more heads than 10c members and everything was done by hand and mail with a group that never stopped touring and they were pretty much spot on. You never heard people beating up the GDP ticketing approach even when their popularity swelled in the late 80's and you didn't always get tickets."Hey, listen asshole, one more fucker throws a fuckin' quarter up here and we're outta here, I'm tellin' ya, FUCKER! What the fuck, you're blowin' it for fuckin' everybody. Hit me with a fuckin' quarter again and, fuck it, I'm outta here. We're all outta here. Fuck you, and if anyone sees someone throw fuckin' change right next to them, you have my permission to beat the fuckin' holy shit outta them."0 -

lol, I would add that you randomly were removed from line and placed somewhere else and when you did get up front to pay and handed over your credit card, they told you that you dont like cookies (even though you love cookies)and gave you a cookie test which you pass, then they say no tix for you!!! back in line muhaahahahahahahah NEXT!If a man speaks in a forest and there is no woman around to hear him, is he still wrong?0 -
Don't let the people calling you whiners to telling you "just don't renew" get you down. They are delusional sheep with hopes that someone from the band or 10 Club will see their post and give them front row tickets and passes to the band's next corporate show. Just ignore then. Luckily there are very few of them and even the most loyal fans are complaining. You have every right to vent. Yesterday was a disgrace and as stated on another thread, you paid an extra $7 in Ten Club Service Fees for nothing. Oh I'm sorry....for a credit card processing fee. Something needs to change.0

Shove it you self-righteous turd. You think you're going to score some brownie points with the band standing up for them like this. Are they going to read your post and think to themselves..."man, this guy gets us. Let's invite him to party after the show!" I agree, if you don't like it, than don't participate. But to call people "whiners" because they are speaking out against a clearly flawed process. Do you call your beloved Eddie a whiner when he rambles in the middle of shows about shit that nobody actually cares about. Don't get me wrong. I love the band and their music, but it just seems that over the past couple of years they have done some things that goes against what we all thought they were about. For example, putting their most loyal fans through this ticket ordeal. Or how about how they now add a service charge to their ticket prices!(the irony of that is unbearable) Why exactly does it now cost $150-$173 to attend a PJ show? I remember not too long ago when it was $70-$100. Not to mention the added cost of being forced to travel to BFN to see them because you couldn't get tickets to your local show. I personally could do without the string quartet or even Boom, if this sort of stuff is what's making the ticket costs soar. There used to be a benefit of being a Ten Club member. Plus, it definitely didn't cost $20 a year. And for what really?!? What have we really had better/more access to over the past couple of years that non-club fans have had. The last show I went to I was surrounded by non-club fans. It's not that the seats were bad, but if they were able to get the same seats for the same price(less of course the money I paid for the 10 club), wtf? And to the band and the people running this ticket racket, i have one thing WTF!?!?
Based on the way you are talking to me, I'm glad you wasted your day and didn't get tickets. Guess what? I did! To both shows. Na na na, na na na!!! If you're not happy, leave. No one is forcing your ass to stay here. Bottom line!0 -

Thats just straight up a stupid comment. No one is expecting that. And you guys are a VERY vocal minority.0
