How close were you?? What always strikes me is how comfortable he always seems in front of these huge crowds! I know sometimes he comes across maybe a little self-conscious, like apologizing for his harmonica play, but you know what I mean? Yet, some say he's seems a little shy off-stage.

He looks the fans in the eyes. Even in stage, when you talk to him, he stops and looks at you and listening!!!

In Rio's bootleg, he sings "hey ho, Rio... hey, ho, off he goes", well, that was for me!!!
I had a poster asking for this song, he saw in every shows, smile to me, said "ok" but didn't play.
In Rio, I was mad, yelling "off he goes", and he tried make me little happy... and HE DID!!!!

YOU SPOKE TO HIM????? What did you say? How did you get close enough to talk to him?? How can he hear people from the stage? It seemed so far away from the front of the crowd. What does he look like up close? Is your country aware that you are now a national treasure??

YES!!!!! Well... But wasn't a chat!!! Just 2 or 3 words... lol

The first time was in Curitiba. He was watching Mudhoney's show when sow my "off he goes".
So, I said "Please, play this song, etc, etc...".
He smiled, asked “today? ”, I said "yes" and he make a funny face.
The second time was in São Paulo. The band played "Daughter" and before starting the tag, all stadium sang "it's ok, it's ok", but he don't understand us!! He looked to me (I was in his front), and I said slowly: "IT'S OK"
So, he understand, said "Oh" and "yeah" and sing "it's ok". Later, he gives me the wine cork.
And, finally, in Rio my "hey ho, off he goes".
But before this, I asked to Mike, but he said "I can't, 'cause Ed's decide! Ask him..."

Just in Porto Alegre the stage was very close and low.
But in others shows, Ed come to us. And even in stage, who was and 1ª line (like me), could speak with them. All the guys are nice! Stone winked to me when I said "I love you"!! lol

Bee Girl, lucky, lucky you!!!!!!!! *sigh* You got to see Eddie Vedder up close AND translated for him for a crowd of thousands..........! (p.s. totally impressed by all who are bilingual/trilingual etc. We don't take a foreign language until high school, sometimes middle school, and by then, it's so hard to learn. Would be great if elementary kids or earlier began learning another language along with english!)
